The facilities, staff, food and value-for-money were outstanding at this hotel and I'd recommend to anyone looking for quiet, relaxing accommodation at Kho Samui. The facilities were outstanding, the staff spoke excellent English and couldn't do enough for us. A highlight of our trip was the Thai Cooking Class, hosted by the President of the Kho Samui Chefs Association and a competitor on Iron Chef. For 1500 Baht, we received a private 2-hour class, a CD featuring the recipes and photos of our experience, and a certificate. We really enjoyed the food we prepared, and we all agreed we learnt to cook the best Pad Thai in Thailand. The restaurant food was amazing, the happy-hour cocktails extremely well-priced and although the hotel is situated 30km out of the main district tourist district of Chaweng, the hotel offered free transport into town twice a day, and the return trip was only 300 baht by private taxi. The local area had a number of great shops, spas, bars and restaurants available and the beach was almost private as there were very tourists about. Will definitely be returning!
I have just returned from a 5 night stay at this beautiful hotel. We had a beachfront villa (106) which had an amazing view and was very private. The room was well appointed although some minor works would not hurt. This did not affect our stay at all just a little freshen up would be worthwhile. Our private pool was larger than we expected and provided a perfect place to cool down and relax. The hotel staff were all very friendly and went out of their way to assist us when we asked for anything. Breakfast was excellent with many fresh choices available. We also ate several times by the pool and in our room and on all occasions the food was good and the serving size generous. We also had a romantic dinner for 2 on the beach which was an awesome experience and the food was 10/10. We did this instead of their BBQ by the beach as this is on Thursday nights and we had unfortunately already had plans. The beachfront pool was large and happy hour allowed you to enjoy the breathtaking sunsets . The tide at the beach was high whilst we were there so we enjoyed many swims in the warm beautiful private beach although I am told that some parts of the year this is not possible. It was also the little things at this hotel that we enjoyed, sweet treats available at reception (we could not walk past without taking one), mango ice cream upon arrival, welcome refreshing towel + drink at the pool each day, snacks at happy hour and cold fruit sticks by the pool.

My wife and I have stayed there with our little baby girl for 4 nights, 2 in a superior room and then 2 more in a premier room, which is bigger and much more comfortable. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, and they are very children oriented. This goes for the rest of the facilities and location; there's a kids club, 2 swimming pools, very nice garden and a rich breakfast buffet.
Location is perfect since it's located on a beautiful beach in choeng Mon Bay, with many dinning options on the beach side as well as in the small Street at the back of the hotel.
Overall we had a great stay and would definitely recommend.
Some cons we did found - the bathroom in the superior room is a bit old and feels out dated, no lcd TV which is very strange nowadays, and if you stay with small kids is better to ask for a ground floor.

With about 30 friends to help cellebrate the occation, we couldn't be more happy we chose the Samui Kandaburi Resort.
From the Aussie Manager John to his wonderful staff everything went like clockwork, AMAZING!
Most guests stayed for about 5-6 days. Not one hickup !
Would recommend Samui Kandaburi Resort for family or couples. Great value for money in 5 star Resort.
Close to very good cheap Restaurants & Massage. With easy access to the busy shopping strip.
Spent 7 nights at Centara Grand in October 2014, we had a fantastic time the staff were lovely always smiling, made freiends with the some of the girls on reception and they are great girls, stayed in a deluxe ocean view room, it was nice had a big balcony overlooking the grounds and the beach very relaxing. The Hotel is on the beach and its clean white sand it was beautiful, Breakfast needs to be looked at as it beacame very repetative and they need to have a better selection of Tea's.
I had a Body Scrub and massage in the Spa and it was fantastic costs a little more than outside but you cannot compare it was worth it.
Overall we had great holdiay and enjoyed our stay at Centara and will return next year.
"Best Hotel that ever!!!!!! really 5 star DELUXE."
I went on my own as my friend lost her flight at London. I felt so overprotected for the staff, they gave me direction to go to everywhere, Its totally secure Samui you don't need to be scared about anything because its totally safe to go around the Island on your own, there are a lot of Markets an shops, the beach totally safe as well if you want to stay on your own by the Hotel, the bar and Restaurant are just by the beach.
The Staff is the best at the Hotel they are professional and very Helpful. The room are over clean, and they have safety box but everything you have in the room its safe.
