“Good find.”

We booked this hotel because it was close to Augsburg but not right inside the city. We missed out on the bustle of central Augsburg, but the stay in Konigbrunn was more restful because of this. Access to Augsburg was easy, about a 20 minute drive directly north from the hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Speaking English was not a problem. Service and food at the restaurant were excellent. The included breakfast was typical of our experiences in German hotels but was more extensive than most. These were not luxury accommodations but were very comfortable and provided everything we needed, including parking. We found them more than adequate.

Area recommendations

Go to old Augsburg, a remarkable area in the center of the city.

Getting there

The Zeller was fairly easy to get to. We found ourselves wandering around a bit trying to find several places in Germany, but we drove right to this hotel from off the "big road." Konigsbrunn is on the "Romantische Strasse" route, and this hotel is well placed if you want to stay in the Augburg area.

“Excellent”

I booked this hotel because Munich was very expensive the week we were there. My son and I loved this hotel. Very reasonable.. Small, beautiful town. Great people. Tried many resturants all were great. Hotel staff is very helpful. Buffet breakfast was wonderful. Enjoyed the sauna. Downtown Munich was 1 hr away, Dachau was 45 min, many other destinations were a nice drive. City has a nice pool, cycling paths. Hotel offers free parking. Only wish was that I wanted two beds and they weren't available.

“Best Hotel Zeller is the BEST”

This hotel more than exceeded our expectations. From the momment you walk in the door, you are treated with a warm Guten Tag and exceedingly helpful staff. Their English is superb and will let you practice your German. The rooms, while somewhat spartan (no coffee maker), were in tip-top shape with newer carpeting, beds and furnsihings. The staff kept the entire hotel, including your room, impeccably clean. The morning fruhstuck (breakfast) is to die for. Fresh breads, meats, yogurts, fruit, and wonderful coffee at your table. Finally, the location makes for a great launching point to see Bavaria. We had a rental car, but found that the the Strassenbahn to Augsburg and its train station to be just as easy to get around.

Area recommendations

Koeniggsbrunn is a convenient way to see Bavaria while not spending a fortune by staying in the large cities.

“I'll be back next year God willing”

The staff at Hotel Zeller was fantastic. They help me with an attachment for my power converter and also let me store my luggage until 4pm my last day. They spoke excellant English and could not do enough to make our stay one to remember. The breakfast was included in the price and it had a full array of items and taste great. I would give them Four Stars instead of three.

Area recommendations

Augsburg is close by Konigsbrunn. Just a short bus and street car route about 20 Minutes. The Christmas market was great. The Rauthaus and city building and along with the churches in Augsburg there is pleanty to see. The city is rustic and beautiful.

“Best Hotel Zeller”

Il soggiorno in questo hotel è stato molto piacevole; si trova in una buona posizione per chi intende visitare Augsburg, Ulm e Monaco di Baviera. Abbiamo anche avuto modo di degustare l'ottima cucina del ristorante interno ,in cui con un buon rapporto qualità prezzo si ha l'occasione imperdibile di assaggiare ottimi piatti raffinati bavaresi accompagnati da deliziosa birra Paulaner. La colazione a buffet è abbondante e di ottima qualità. Il personale dell'Hotel è molto cortese e parla italiano. Un Hotel in cui sicuramente ritorneremo.

A 50metri dall'Hotel vi sono : una ottima salumeria e una bellissima panetteria in cui fare scorta di prodotti locali di pregiata qualità.

“Offerta Expedia per Best Hotel Zeller”

L'Hotel di per se sarà discreto. Ma durante il nostro soggiorno (5 notti) si trovava in ristrutturazione. Questo ha comportato notevoli disagi, non consoni ad un hotel 3 stelle "superior", tra cui: impalcatura fuori la finestra della camera che impediva la visibilità, forti rumori (trapano, martello) dopo le 9 del mattino, lobby trasformata in cantiere, ingresso all'hotel attraverso una porticina sul retro, ...... La cordialità del personale è stata buona (probabilmente consci del disagio dovuto ai lavori). Nei dintorni dell'hotel poche attrazioni (ad eccezione di un cinema), ristoranti, pub.

Comment from the hotel's management

Wir bedauern, daß es unseren Expedia-Gästen aus Italien im August 2010 nicht bei uns gefallen hat. Der Aufenthalt fiel in unsere Renovierungsphase von Ende Juli bis Ende August. In dieser Zeit haben wir unsere Lobby und Lounge einer Komplettrenovierung unterzogen sowie unsere Außenfassade einem neuen Anstrich unterzogen, außerdem noch Fenster in 50 Hotelzimmern total erneuert. Wir haben dies bewußt in den Sommermonaten gemacht, da wir das Hotel auch nicht ganz schließen wollten. Obwohl wir uns stets bemüht haben die Hotelgäste von den Umbaumaßnahmen so gut wie nichts spüren zu lassen, gab es doch leider diese Ausnahme. Es ist richtig, daß unser Hotel eingerüstet war und die Hotelfenster abgeklebt und das Gerüst von einem grünen Vorhang geschützt wurde. Wir bedauern dies wirklich sehr, können aber nun jetzt versichern, daß ein Großteil unseres Hotel frisch renoviert ist und von unseren Gästen sehr gut angenommen wird.
