although stay confirmed to me by Expedia and payment was confirmed, the hotel claimed they knew nothing about my booking and had to pay again - still awaiting refund of payment by expedia. The manager was helpfull but the restaurant was very expensive with no alternative that eat in the restaurant or take another auto tutut. Would not recommend this location - felt very unsafe.
Waterfront property with an old school feel and modern amenities. Other than the fact that a bidet would've been nice, and there were a couple of snafus with their restaurant and chef's availability, it was a wonderful and unforgettable experience. The famous restaurant was under renovation so it was a bit disappointing. We had also booked a cooking class with their exec chef and there were some glitches in how that was planned and so we had to cancel. Having said that, their staff are just brilliant. They took care of our every need and ensured that we got a taste of true Kerala culture in every possible way. They have a few assigned auto walahs who, for a fair price, take the tourists on trips around fort kochi. We had two of the best auto walahs - Sanish and Nasir. Both were so nice, easy going, helpful and candid. There was no tourist hounding behavior or anything. Very relaxed yet entertaining.
The views from the sea facing rooms are just spectacular. Couldn't have asked for more.

I specifically picked this hotel for the use of wifi-a lot of hotels as I travel frequently and for long periods and email/skpe import I looked at on line did not have wi-fi. Unlike hotels in major cities where often free- you had to pay about 4 times price internet cafe. however each night I went to use and I had a problem with initial connection and had to go to reception to get them to ring maintenance (who had gone home to fix)- some nights took nearly 1 hour to fix. for a hotel advertising as a business hotel- they need to improve of this and get a more reliable modem. Most other things fine-although standard of bathroom needs an upgrade
A nice clean hotel in a central location. The rooms are spotless and large. The staff can't do enough for you. The hotel manager (ANKUSH) sat down with my family and I one night for over an hour trying to book train tickets for us on the internet. We had no luck because our foreign credit cards would not be accepted by the Indian website, so he kindly paid with his own card and we reimbursed him. Pure gentleman!
The hotel restaurant serves lovely food and the band that plays for you while you eat some nights are fantastic.
Don't miss the complementary sunset cruise round the harbour where you get to see the Chinese fishing nets at sunset, a great photo opportunity!

This is a good hotel with great restaurant, clean and well kept, only drawback is has terrible humming sound I am the room, I don't know if it's the gen set or anything else, and secondly there are many restricted to photography areas as it is next to the cochin port... It feels little uncomfortable as there are boards of the notice every 10 feet, otherwise it's good.
We were looked after by the staff from the moment we stepped out of our car earlier than our check in time.
We had a wedding to attend and our room was ready early so we could freshen up before another drive experience in Kerala.
