“Not 4 star”
This hotel is not 4 star. Maybe 3 at best. It has a tiny walk-in-off-street entrance, and a small lobby. It's in a main street near a busy corner, with ordinary not exclusive surroundings. Moreover, the super earlybird special was at far too high a price for this hotel, in comparison to other deals for quality hotels in Kobe. Staff were helpful, rooms clean and comfortable. No wi- fi. Centrally located.
“Creepy, rundown hotel in good location.”
We stayed at 4 hotels while in Japan and this was by far the worst. Hotel was very run down and not clean. Very creepy rooms and hotel. Bathroom shower looked as though it had not been cleaned and smelled like sewage. The only good thing about this hotel was the location, right in the heart of Kobe. Would not stay here again; NOT a 4 star hotel.

Before planning to stay at the Kobe Plaza Hotel, I had checked the reviews on Expedia. I felt that the reviews were very much justified and I was very impressed by the quality of service and comfort that was apt for the price, even though the rooms were small, but that is typical of any Japanese Hotel. The location is great as it is just opposite the Motomachi station and minutes away from Sanomiya station. If I ever visit Kobe again, would love to come back to Kobe Plaza Hotel.

“Seen better for better price”
The room we contracted for was much smaller than it appeared in the promotional photos. We normally stay at the Sannomiya Terminal Hotel, which is very similar in quality with the Kobe Plaza, but was rated lower (#of stars) than Kobe Plaza. Although the Sannomiya Terminal Hotel was booked during the time of our travel, we were familiar with the rooms there. Therefore we were unpleasantly surprised at the size and quality of the room at Kobe Plaza because it was rated 4 stars, and we expecting something better than Sannomiya which was rated 2 or 3 stars. Also, the breakfast buffet which is available at Sannomiya Terminal is of higher quality than that which we paid for at Kobe Plaza. In the future we will stay at Sannomiya Terminal and not Kobe Plaza.
“(Trop) Proche de la gare”
En arrivant a la gare de Kobe, l hotel etais visible des la sortie. Le personel a la reception etais assez froid, ce qui ma surpris un peu, car mon amis et moi etions a Kyoto avant et les receptoniste etais plus sympatique. en entrant dans la chambe, nous pouvons entendre le bruits des trains, j ai donc demander a changer de chambre ce qui ma ete refuser sans meme avoir regarder les disopnibilites, j ai un peu insister mais sans succes. le couvre lit etais tacher par je ne sais quoi.......... Bref bonne localisation pour sortir le soir
