“Great hotel”

The Crowne Plaza ANA Kobe was a great hotel. Very comfortable and close to the station which was handy as we travelled back and forth between Kobe and Kyoto. The hotel also has many eating places around it so that was great. Also, we had asked for a fan in the room because it was quite warm, even though it was autumn/winter temperatures and the staff accommodated us very nicely. We had asked for a fan in our other hotels on our trip and was not provided one so this hotel did well for us as it was the only one that could fully accommodate our request. Thank you!!

This is a very good hotel - I recommend the Club level rooms are excellent value for money. Staff are very helpful. Hotel is immediately next to Shin Kobe Shinkansen station, and access to downtown Sannomiya is just one stop on the subway which is below the hotel.

“Spacious rooms, relaxing experience”

Stayed here during recent vacation in april for 1 day. due to comfort and accessibility of hotel, we stayed an extra night. hotel is essentially connected to the Shin Kobe Train station (via walkway). we arrived via bullet train making this hotel location very convenient. booked room with breakfast option-breakfast was fine, nothing extraordinary. overall a very nice hotel with big rooms compared to others in japan.

Area recommendations

We visited the Arima Onsen (hotsprings) which is about 1/2 hour on the train from Kobe as well as central Kobe via subway to San-no-miya. We also took about 1/2 hour bullet train ride (using JR railpass) to Kyoto.

When to go

Go during end of March, early april during cherry blossom season. Makes for outstanding scenery/photos!

Getting there

Easy accessibility from Shinkansen bullet train to Shin Kobe.

Getting around

Subway is very easy...and lots of walking.

Dining

Ate Kobe beef at restaurant within ANA Crowne building on 4th floor-Wakoqu (sp?) Quite delicious.

“Great Hotel Great View - use of pool not free”

Hotel conveniently adjacent to Shinkobe station attached to a mall with shops and restaurants. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable- especially for Japan. A colleague commented that this Crowne Plaza was much nicer than any he has stayed in before. Despite hot and sticky weather in August, no problems with A/C. Did not try food in restaurants. Breakfast buffet price more than 2000 yen with no significant discount for children. Use of Pool more than 1000 yen per person.

“A very good night's stay”

The hotel is well situated with a fabulous view over Kobe, particularly at night. Very easy to get to by shinkansen (Shin-Kobe) or by the city metro. Handily placed for the cable car and for a large shopping mall, which includes many restaurants (eat at a Japanese steak bar)and even a 100 Yen shop. Buffet breakfast, though not cheap, is good and the hotel staff are very friendly. Internet connection is reliable and free. I would stay there again.

I can recommend the Japanese steak house in the Mall. Also the cable car.

“Great modern hotel”

The Crown Plaza is a relatively new and modern hotel. The rooms are bright and of good size (for Japan). There is in-room internet (cable) and they have a single US TV channel. The bathroom is of good size and modern with the latest facilities. The hotel has a good buffet restaurant on the ground floor. There is a good set of shops in the embedded mall. Overall a great place to stay. The hotel is just next door to the Shinkansen train station in Kobe and 0.5 miles from the central train station. The settings is next to the mountains and very nice.

“ottimo hotel ottimo servizio molto ben connesso ai mezzi di trasporto”

E' un ottimo hotel con un servizio premuroso. E' sopra la stazione di Shin-kobe. Consiglio le camere alte. Bagno forse un po' piccolo, ma molto ben tenuto. Internet a banda larga gratis.
