“Great 4 star hotel”
Good food, great beach, clean rooms, beautiful grounds and is in the outskirts of but a walking distance to the busy crazy chaweng touristy stores and restaurants.
“Can't wait to go back - fabulous trip, fabulous hotel.”
Beautiful hotel, perfect location and setting. Only small complaint was uncomfortable pillows. Would definitely go back and have no qualms about recommending it to others.
“Excellent location and great hotel, daily breakfast was a treat.”
The Amari Palm Reef was an ideal location for a holiday in Koh Samui. Just to the north of the main beach so close enough to walk to the restaurants and bars but far enough to miss the noise at night. Hotel was very good for 4 star and the hotel looked after all guest very well. Would go there again if we were to travel back to Koh Samui. The daily breakfast was comprehensive and extensive and started the day off very well. The evening happy hours by the pool and beach front were very memorable. The Thai people are so friendly and polite it really makes for a good holiday. Great spot.
“"AMARI" the best hotel chain in thailand and the place to be”
I along with my wife stayed in Amari Atrium at Bangkok and Amari Palm Reef at Koh Samui and are extremely satified with the services, the ambience, the quality, i think about everything. Specially the Koh Samui resort is the best palce to stay and ew are delighted that we choose Amari for our stay. Would be happy to come back if required and would strongly recommend to all the travellers.
“Would go back any day”
My boy-friend and I had a great time there, hotel staff were friendly and helpful, superior room was spacious and clean. The king sized bed was so comfortable, I wanted to take it home. Two beautiful pools. The breakfast buffet was to die for.Free wi-fi in one of the bars. Located on the edge of town so very quiet but close enough to walk to bars & restaurants. 5 minutes walk to the closest supermarket. They offer scooter rentals for about A$10 per day (without insurance) & cars from about A$40 per day. Our flight back was in the afternoon and they stored our luggage and even allowed us back into one of their rooms to shower before leaving for the airport. We stayed for 7 nights and would definitely go back.
“Great Location for us. You can walk everywhere, either on beachside or roadside to get to town.”
A great location for us. We hummed and hawed at which hotel to book. We knew we did not want to be in the centre of the action. And glad we did not pick there!(the town was noisy: people and taxi music). We were able to walk to the centre of town, look at the markets and restaurants very easily. You could either walk down the beach or the street. If you walk down the beach side, be sure to have insect spray on. They are a bit pesty, but its well worth the walk. During the day at the beach, you did not need the spray, just at night. The nice thing was that you could walk from your room to the pool, and if you wanted, to the sea.The sea was very warm, but couldnt really swim in it due to coral and depth. You could choose beach side or back side for your rooms. The back side(garden areas) are for sure quieter, but we loved to be right by the water. The internet was free if you were in there bar area, which was great to sit or lay on the beds by the pool. We did not get internet in our room, so not sure of the price. The Breakfast buffet was pretty good and had good variation! The pool was clean,as was our room. A must eat at is the "prego" across the street(italian) . A must do as well is to rent a motorbike for the day and go around the island. Its only about 50km's but we made a 6.5 hour journey, stopping for lunch at one of the other resorts. All this for about 10 dollars CDN.including gasoline! Not sure if we would go back to Koh Samui, but did enjoy our time there!
“Fantastic!”
Fantasic hotel - the best we stayed in on our trip. Great value for money - pools are fantastic, staff great, location perfect & overall a really good stay.
“Most Impressed”
Amari Palm Reef Hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff are so friendly and always had a welcoming smile. Nothing was too much troubl. I had to visit the hospital whilst there are the staff arranged for a hotel bus to take me to and from the hospital (even though it was only a few minutes walk away). Two days later I received a phone call from reception asking me if I was feeling better! This personalised service meant so much to me.I had previously read about the road through the hotel being a negative but it did not prove to be so for us. Our room was at the very back of the Garden section and was nice and quiet (beware - I think being in the double-storey accommodation near the road would be noisy). The marble bathroom was beautiful and had a shower and bath. The location of the hotel is the best in Chaweng Beach as it's at the quiet end of Chaweng Road. Out in the street the shops near the hotel are lovely but the further down (towards the Green Mango) you go the busier it gets and can be a bit mad at night time. Retreating back to the Amari is bliss and like another world. I thought we'd eat our more but the price of food in the restaurant was very reasonable and quality was good. Little things like nuts and biscuits provided free of charge with drinks and cappucino made all the difference and were delighful touches. Prego Restaurant was first class - both in quality and quantity - and the service exceptional. The beach & beach bars were beautiful. We plan to return!
“Breakfast was 6 out of 5!!”
Really enjoyed our trip and would recommend this establishment.
“Great location, lovely hotel.”
It did take a day or two to get used to the hotel and room standard etc after staying at the new(ish) Le Meridien in Bangkok with exemplary service and facilities. However we warmed to the place more and more each day and would go back without hesitation. Drinks etc are a little pricey but the beach vendors do a great job at about a quarter of the price (and its nice to take a little while out in the shade to see them). Always managed to get beds in the main pool area despite the usual habit of laying towels and dissapearing for the morning - the management does say any towels there for longer than an hour will be removed. We used the on site Italian restaurant Prego a couple of times and were well impressed by the high standard of food and service. Wi Fi internet access is very pricey but reasonably fast. In summary a great beach hotel in what is, for me, the perfect location just a little away from the hustle and bustle.
