Me & my husband have just spent a wonderful few days at The Mere Hotel. It was everything I was hoping for, the hotel itself has lovely decor of a very high standard. The bedrooms are spacious and well equiped with adjustable heating and the bathrooms are also very good with under floor heating and lovely showers. We tried both restaurants during our stay: the bar restaurant is very nice and the food is of a good standard, Browns restaurant is also very nice and the food is of a high standard, well done to all the chefs for providing such lovely meals! The swimming pool and jacuzzi are very good, it was nice to have a jacuzzi that was lovely and warm, so relaxing. The various thermal rooms were also very good. Me & my husband enjoyed these facilities immensely. The hotel is in lovely grounds with a view of a large lake and golf course, unfortunately neither me or my husband play golf so I can't really comment on the golf course apart from the fact that it looked to be kept in immaculate condition. Finally, the staff, what can I say, they were so friendly, always giving a smile and asking if you were enjoying your stay. They were all efficient and polite, going the extra mile to ensure your stay was an enjoyable one. Many thanks to them all for making our stay such an enjoyable one!

We stayed for one night for our anniversary and also booked in at the Arboreum Restaurant for their three course meal
The hotel was easily found right off the motorway and plenty of parking was available even though there was a wedding on the night we stayed. Check-in was quick and easy and we were directed to our room.
The room itself was much larger than we had expected with a Super King size bed, seating area and dresser and the room was clean and well presented. Tea and coffee were provided and there was also an iron and ironing board. For those people that like to stay in their rooms there was also a TV with Sky Sports and Freeview channels available.
The food in the restaurant was good and very reasonably priced. We found the drinks to be on the expensive side although considering the price of the food we didn't mind too much.
We would definitely stay here again.

Overnight stop. Easy access from Jct 19 M6. Be aware sharp right turn 25 yds from roundabout. Hotel is Small, Compact, Clean, Good Food, Excellent service from all the friendly staff. Very helpful with Luggage for disabled Guests. Lovely touch that. Everything you want for a good nights rest and good food on a smaller scale than the usual Premier Inns and Travel Lodges we normally stay at but well worth the stop for the homely atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Lovely stay at friendly hotel. Used hotel for base to visit Manchester and Chester. Food good variety local produce with great service. Provided boys with bed time treat of milk and cookie with their name on. Nice touch - boys thoroughly enjoyed it.

Stayed in a standard double room - got the room at a good price that rivalled the Premier Inn. The hotel was clean, the room was furnished to a high specification, and the staff were lovely; recommended for a no frills stay in a lovely area.
I would definitely stay there again, the area is rural & scenic, Knutsford offers a lot of shopping and dining ops. Tatton Park, the National Trust estate, is nearby. But the taxi fare to the airport is $32.50 for a 20 minute drive.
Small but well appointed room, extremely clean and comfortable. Accommodating hostess was filling in for the owners. Very helpful. Abundant food offerings.

Level of service from staff was outstanding - arranging late check in, taxi's, check out - all beyond what would be expected of a B&B. Exceptional guest care. Rooms are fitting for the price, clean and well served.
