“good stay”
would have no problem staying at the hilton again, all went well
“Downtown Hilton”
very clean. Nice bar area
“One of the best”
Excellent service, very nice large room, comfortable bed, great location, especially for Vol games.
“Knoxville Hilton”
I thought my first stay at a Hilton would impress me, but I was disappointed. The condition of this Hilton was poor. The wallpaper was peeling in my room, the door in the bathroom was rusting, the view out the window was of the parking lot. I had to move the couch over a bit to see out the window and the carpet was filthy under it. The room was comfortable and quiet. The bathroom was small but functional. It is close to the convention center but I wasn't here for that. I have stayed in other hotels in the area and I will probably stay there next time.
“Over priced...underwhelmed”
The Knoxville Hilton charges 5 star rates, but offers 2 star quality. We had 2 rooms (one on the 9th floor and the other on the 10th). The 9th floor reeked of cigarette smoke, and although we were given a non smoking room, the odor was present on both sides of the door. Spend your money elsewhere...both the Marriott and Holiday Inn are very close.
“Great location”
Good hotel in convenient location. Parking garage sucks.
“Solid Hotel”
Great staff who provided excellent service. The layout of the hotel is a little odd, but that's no one outside of the architect's fault. Hotel is conveniently located in downtown Knoxville. About a block and a half away (in one direction) from Market and Gay street and around 2 blocks away (in the other direction) from UT and Neyland Stadium. Definitely would recommend staying here if it's in your price range.
“Romance at the Bijou”
we got to the hotel about 3pm and quickly showered then walked a couple of blocks to the Downtown Grill and Brewery. the food was great and ambiance unbeatable. then we came back and changed for the concert at The Bijou . it was raining after the concert was over and we ran the couple of blocks back to the hotel in the rain. the next morning we walked to a consignment shop in an alley located next to the hotel then grabbed a quick mocha at a coffeeshop just beside it. perfect getaway for a couple in love.
“Centrally located and very clean!”
Convenient place to stay and the staff is very friendly and helpful!
“Overpriced”
Booked a nonsmoking room several weeks in advance thru Expedia and was put on a smoking floor. Also because it was a football weekend, had to book two nights at a rate I usually pay to stay in Manhatten. Would have thought for for the price a, parking and breakfast would have been complimentary. Won't go back here again.
