The hotel was in a sketchy part of town. The place reeked of marijuana. The hotel was run down and the room had unrepaired damage.

You could tell it was a smoking property even though our room was a non-smoking room. Perhaps they could work to separate that by floors.

Someone came into my room the first night u was there... Means it had to be a either or someone that knew the worker.. I didn't have the door locked but i didn't think someone would have another key to get in...

The entire place smelled like smoke. We needed a non-smoking room and it's pretty obvious that none of the rooms are. The elevator, hallways smelled of it. When I asked to move to a different floor, I could not be accommodate. Ended up loosing the rest of our 2 night stay because the smell was unbearable.

We do have many guests who smoke outside and walk into the hotel and to the elevator directly after smoking which makes it smell on the first floor. Smoking is not allowed on the first floor. And unfortunately, we were not able to move you to a different room because we were sold out. Also, you booked with Expedia. We are not able to refund you your last two nights because Expedia gives us a virtual card for payment, not the guests credit card. You still may be able to call them to be compensated.

Not as good as in the past.
We have stayed here numerous times when visiting nearby family and have noticed a decline in the service offered in recent years - nothing to complain about but the general feel is 'tired and worn'. The website shows daily housekeeping but although the towels were changed (except one day), the bed was made only twice and the floors never vacuumed in the 6 days we stayed there. The range of breakfast cereals was down to 2 - no little boxes to increase the options - and no newspapers provided.

If it's the only place available
This is also a residential motel, so there was some noise from the residents and parking was sometimes very difficult. The continental breakfast was marginal coffee, was just OK. Beds are comfortable, heating and cooling worked well. There is traffic noise from the street out front. Leaving the parking lot can be dangerous because the traffic lanes go right to the (narrow) sidewalks and the view is limited on the office side of the motel. Wi-fi was spotty.

Been There, Done That...I'll Be Back!
I have stayed at the Midway Inn at least 4 times due to medical emergencies at Harrison Hospital. It's the closest & most economical place for all medical appts at the hospital or specialty/support services near the hospital or couples passing through, or small families with not too many kids. Choices for breakfast near the reception area have improved; however, all the boiled eggs were gone . The rooms have always been CLEAN & appointed with all the basic needs one might need. The first time I stayed there the microwave caught on fire EEK (quickly resolved); but they've been replaced with newer models. Good water pressure, Wi-fi, pleasant staff; parking is OK but entrance & exit is a bit tough given certain traffic times. I've traveled extensively and would recommend this unpretentious, casual Inn over many ritzy-ditzty overpriced lodgings. I'll return.

We just moved to this area from out-of-state to be near family and found that this was a convenient location to everything on this side of the Puget Sound, whether North towards Silverdale or South towards Belfair. The Midway Inn is a pet-friendly hotel, limit two dogs per room, no cats (Pet fees $25 per pet). The rooms are clean but the beds are extra-firm and the pillows are thick and hard. The entire week we stayed there, our cable didn't work in our room, despite calls to the cable company by the owner's son, who works the desk at night. There are many people who call this hotel "home" for $1500 per month; one night, a "resident" was cooking hamburgers and set off the fire alarm at 11pm. Some rooms here are non-smoking but the entire hotel smells of cigarettes. The ladies that do housekeeping are awesome and attentive but if you need extras later in the day, the front desk will get snippy and ask why you didn't get this when housekeeping came through...Overall, our stay was good, with little noise from the rooms next door, the convenience of an elevator to take belongings and pets up and down from the upper floors, and a lot of business and restaurants in the area.

Serviceable but odd experience.
Stayed here because needed a kitchen room. Hotels.com booked it as a kitchen room and we paid the cost for one but the hotel itself didn't have us in one. They sort-of fixed it fairly quick but they gave us a half-kitchen room not the deluxe we paid for since they didn't have a deluxe available. The partial kitchen was a bit of a challenge to work with but doable. The room was clean but the beds horribly uncomfortable and the doors on the TV made walking around the room impossible. The staff was very friendly and as helpful as they could be, breakfast was surprisingly good but they run out of fruit early. The clientele is mostly long-term and are generally nice but the area of town is just a bit weird/dodgy. There are no rooms on the ground floor for knowledge sake...there is an elevator however.

This was the most disgusting place I have ever stayed. Smelled like a homeless man’s armpit. A mix of BO, cigarette and marijuana smoke. Despite saying it was “non-smoking” there was a dirty ash tray in the room. I am embarrassed to say I actually stayed instead of just letting my money go to waste and sleeping in the car or finding someplace else. I’ve stayed in a dirt hut in Kenya that was cleaner than this place. Run away!

This hotel smells so bad of cigarette smoke, bathroom smelled like urine. Really out dated bedding, furniture & decor. Property is unsafe, went to car in the morning and there was a man checking car handles to steal stuff.
