I really liked the room layout. Almost felt like a mini suite with the secondary area that had the desk and fridge area as well as a second tv. Staff was fantastic.

The hotel was very nicely renovated and I heard that was done about 5 or 6 years ago. I agreed that everything was spotless, well appointed, and the staff was very accommodating. We had a few issues however. The thermostat read 77 degrees Fahrenheit when we arrived so I set it to 70 at 3 in the afternoon. After returning form dinner and a show hours later it read 75. There was a large diameter exhaust stack outside our bathroom window coming from somewhere like a boiler room or kitchen that ran all night which was bothersome. The coffee machine the next morning had trouble brewing more than a half a mug of strong coffee.

I *love* the Walper! Everything about it is great. From the check in experience (text message to welcome & inform about parking) and the room design, to the amenities nearby… It honestly feels more like an “experience” than a regular hotel stay. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Shout out to Sahil in the hotel restaurant; he’s suuuuuch a helpful and thoughtful server, we had a great meal there! I’ll definitely be staying at the Walper any time I am in the K-W area ☺️

I’m a YouTube competent creator who looked for haunted hotels in Kitchener and I’m so happy I was brought to this one! I was able to rent out the room with the most paranormal activity on Jan 1st-2nd. I managed to captured some good footage! The staff there were so nice. They didn’t hesitate to answer some of the questions I had about the building and hearing their paranormal experiences. I wish I could’ve caught their names to give them a shoutout! I most likely will be back if I visit the area again. Highly recommend !! 5 ⭐️

There should be a much better insulation. Guests could be heard from the top pounding the floor EXCELLENT hotel and WONDERFUL service VERY RELAXING pillows A few touch ups on the ceiling would not hurt Also: EXCELLENT breakfast. À la carte, NOT junk massive buffet Am definitely going back, this time with my family

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful to us getting acclimated to the area. Quickly and happily moved us to another room that was not far from elevator (my wife has sciatic pain). Rooms comfortable, modern and clean. Only slight problem was hot water pressure in sink very weak - maybe as we were on top floor? Would still recommend!

The rooms and hotel were nice. No noise complaints. Only issue was the off site parking. Was raining and had to drag suitcase through water. There were several homeless people sleeping near property.

Looks recently refurbished, nice rooms. Soundproofing externally is not adequate, Harley driver wakes you up ~5am each morning, then the daily garbage collection.
