“Could Be Better”

Front desk staff seemed unfriendly. Did not smile. Business-like but lacked that friendliness that should be pre-requisite in the hotel business. Seemed like I was interrupting "something" more important.

“Great location”

This hotel is located in a great spot, lots of great places to eat and a wal-mart you can walk to if you forgot anything on your trip! And they allow pets which was great with our 2 Schnauzers, they even gave us a room on the first floor that opened up to some grass they could relieve themselves on.

“Lots to do in St. Louis”

Outside of downtown but easy to drive. Botanicial Gardens...you do not want to miss. Short ride to "the Hill" for the best Italian food. Close to shopping.

“convenient after long day of driving”

We ran late getting to hotel after a long day of driving. It was great to be able to order dinner from the attached Chili's and pick it up without having to leave the hotel. Rooms are basic, but clean and quiet, beds comfortable.

Area recommendations
The Basillica in Saint Louis. It's incredible, awe-inspiring, easy to drive to and has free parking.

“Not the best night I've had”

I had to travel to Kirkwood on business and this hotel was recommended because it was close to the location that I needed to arrive at the following morning. When I arrived at the hotel the lobby smelled as if someone had just lit a pack of cigarettes and left them burning, an overwhelming smoke smell. When I initially entered to room I thought that it was ok, until I went to wash my face in the bathroom. There was something stuck to the inside of the sink that was unrecognizable along with pieces of hair.......There were also hairs in the shower. Neither of which belonged to me. Needless to say, I was too tired to complain because I had just driven four hours, it was late and I knew that I had an early morning so I slept with most of my clothes on, on top of the covers not knowing what else might have been partially cleaned. If ever there is a need for me to visit Kirkwood again, I will not be going back to this hotel.
