“1000 islands at a reach”

If you plan to cruise the 1000 Islands from Canada, this is a good spot to sleepover before or after cruising. However, Gananoque, is very quiet in the evening so not much to do around. Swiimming pool (in season) and breakfast are included. Restaurants around to diversify the eatery possibilities. Not far from Highway 401 so easy to reach.

“A bit dated, but clean and comfortable.”

Clean, comfortable and quiet, no complaints.

Area recommendations
Main drag, it all lokked good.
Getting there
If you are comming from the States, you can come over the bridge and down the parkway; for a little twist we took the ferry boat (free) to Wolfe Island and the other ferry boat (Toll) back to the US.
Getting around
NOT MPH..............Remember your now on KPM. Streat signs and traffic control devises are not where we would expect to see them.............Just be aware your in Canada.............Not Kansas.
What to pack
Just remember where you are, in Canada at the East end of a great lake (Ontario) te weather can and will change quickly (sun to rain) (windy).
Shopping
You are in Canada, things will cost more (the exchange rate is not real favorable),
Nightlife
The Casino was very nice and the food was excellent.
Events and shows
The local playhouse puts on an excellent show for a very resonable price, laughed intil it hurt.

“Good bargain.”

Clean comfortable room away from the traffic of the main street. LCD TV with major cable stations. Self-serve continental breakfast available adjacent to reception area.

“Stay elsewhere”

Motel was very shabby. Molding was missing in the bathroom around the walls. Manager was unfriendly and very slow to get ice or anything else. Pool was small but clean.

“Very Pleasent Experience”

We found our stay at this hotel very pleasant. Although there was confusion on my part regarding the wireless setup it was a fantastic long weekend

“Very impressed, looking forward to next visit.”

The hotel room was very clean and comfortable, impressed with updated flat screen TV in room, only stayed one night however would not hesitate to stay at this hotel when next visiting the area.

Traveller's tip
We were in the area for two days of golf, found the hotel to be very convenient, in proximity to golf course, dining establishments and downtown.

“not that great”

the rooms are big and clean, but there are small bugs in the washroom. The A/C is old and loud and was not working normal! next time I'll stay in Kingston

“satisfactory rooms in dreary setting”

The hotel is clean and comfortable, and the staff at the desk were friendly and helpful. But the buildings are very dreary (they look like temporary structures), and the breakfast is unacceptable (we had breakfast in Gananoque, which made the hotel less of a bargain).

“Clean and affordable”

Pros If you are traveling for leisure the location of the hotel is a few minutes drive away from where the boat cruises leave The hotel is on a main street where there are a few local restaurants a park quaint shops and some grocery stores The hotel was clean and our room was rather spacious and comfortable We arrived very early hours before check in time but they cleaned our room fast and let us check in early. Good size TV Cons If you stay at this hotel and you would like to sleep in inform the hotel staff The cleaners were knocking at our door at 8:30AM and she didnt wait for a response before she entered! She did this twice and woke us up by knocking and barging in The breakfast they offered in the morning left much to be desired and the small eating are they provide to eat breakfast in is very small and can get crowded in the mornings.

“Clean, comfortable, functional hotel”

You get what you pay for, so if you're looking for a clean, comfortable, functional hotel with no frills, then this one is absolutely fine. Typical motel-style layout - the rooms are in separate blocks and we were able to park right outside our room door. We only stayed one night but the queen size bed was comfortable, the room was clean and in good condition and we were set far enough back from the main road to not be bothered by any traffic noise. There were a few marks in the hand-basin and bath - not dirty, just slight signs of wear and tear. The room was supplied with a fridge and coffee maker but no microwave - no problem as we ate out in a restaurant (15 min walk or 3 min drive to the "centre" of town). The room also had a large flat-screen TV mounted on the wall, with a reasonable selection of cable channels. A continental-style breakfast was available in the lobby area of the hotel reception block (not included in our room rate) but we didn't try it so can't comment on the quality. This was a simple and comfortable hotel, perfectly adequate for our needs and completely in line with our expectations for a 2 star hotel.
