“Mold in bathroom on ceiling and shower walls”
the bathroom was disgusting. shame as the staff as execptionally friendly. The beds had seen better days and the rugs were badly worn.
“Not impressed at all”
The only thing this hotel has going for it is its location. The so-called breakfast was a joke. It started at 7am, I got there at 7:15 and there was no fruit salad left. They gave me vouchers but there was no one checking them anyway so I am not sure why. Stale muffins and gross coffee is not my idea of a complimentary breakfast. The TV was poor quality as well. Mostly clean but probably won't stay there again.
“nice surprise great location”
good deal
“great location!!!”
The elevator was down and there is no parking--park acrossthe road...excellent spot, though. Kingston was fun and I was glad we were downtown and didn't have to make our way back to a distant hotel.
“Would Never Stay There Again”
The elevator was broken, there was no parking, the hotel was run down and in need of a complete facelift. The Continetal Breakfast was marginal at best. The only good thing was the downtown location. I would never stay at this hotel again and would not recommend it to anyone.
“Affordable”
A little 'tired' of a hotel but certainly clean and well locatedright across from city hall and the downtown area. No onsite parking at moment - city parking two short blocks away less expensive than the one right across the street.
“Old and Tired”
The hotel staff were extremely friendly, helpful and attentive to our needs. The housekeeping however was well below standards. We constantly had to ask for basic items. The hotel is old and tired and needs to be gutted and redone. Carpets and mattresses are stained and need replacing. It's actually a little depressing staying there. The underground parking has been unavailable for about a year now but you don't find that out until arrival. There is parking nearby but no in-and-out privileges so the cost can mount. The location is great. Right dowtown and within walking distance of most shops and restaurants. Overall though, I wouldn't stay there again.
“Can't wait to go back”
It's a good place to stay.
“great value on Kingston waterfront”
This may not be the fanciest hotel, but it is the best price (about 60% of normal rates in the neighbourhood) right in the heart of downton Kingston on the water. Shopping, cinemas, and restaurants are all easily accessible on foot, and check out the lakeview rooms. We have stayed there several times, and the staff have always been exceptional.
“Economical option”
Great location near Kingston City Hall! Smallish room with 2 really comfortable beds. Parking is across the street while the underground parking lot is being repaired and it would make sense for the hotel to arrange for in-and-out privileges with the lot . Maximum I paid for parking was $12 which isn't bad. There is a hot tub and a few exercise machines in the basement so you can, squeakily, bike or use a treadmill and watch TV while you do so. Staff is helpful and friendly. Breakfast is simple. Quite reasonable and I'd go back.
