“Loved it, loved it, loved it”
This hotel was superb. The room was huge and had two double beds, even though we only booked a room for 2 adults. The bathroom was a fair size. There was coffee, tea, biscuits in the room. The TV had a large selection of channels. The hotel is new and spacious. At breakfast there was a large selection of cold and hot foods. Some of the hot food was cooked on the spot. The reception staff were not rude, but not that excited either. The hotel is on a large estate, whcih is perfect for runs and walks. The hotel is outside of the main town centre, but only a short drive.
“Excellent to Visit Kilkenny”
We are only sorry we did not have time during our stay to enjoy the hotel and its grounds fully. The hotel room was excellent. We did find the restaurant service a bit slow but they were very friendly.
“A bit disappointed.........”
When I went to wash my hands in our bathroom I noticed that there was no soap or any other toiletries to be seen!. After taking a good look around I phoned reception and they told me they would see to it. After 5 or 10 mins a man came up and asked me"if I had found it?" I assured him I hadnt. I felt he didnt quite believe me! He looked around and told me that the housekeeper had assured him she had fully serviced the room. However, he left a bottle of shampoo, conditioner, and soap. Next morning , I then discovered I had no shower cap either! You would expect more in a hotel of this standard [5 *].When I was checking out I told the guy at the desk. I rec'd a phone message from the manager 3 days later [as I wasnt at home when he called, thus he left a message]. I then had to make 2 phone calls , at my own expense, to talk to him.He apologised and told me he would upgrade me on my next visit to the Lyrath. I wasnt impressed with his offer. Surely he could have done better than that!!!

Our stay here was amazing! The grounds are absolutely gorgeous - very serene and relaxing! Service was great, room was clean and comfortable with a nice outdoor patio and the dining options onsite were good - especially the Asian restaurant and adjacent bar. We did a tour of Europe this past month and this hotel was definitely our favorite. We didn't have time to use the spa services but did spend some time at the indoor pool which was really nice. It was only about an hour or so away from the Dublin airport so if you are looking for a place in the country with a fairly minimal drive - this is the place to go! Can't wait to go back here!
“nice hotel in Kilkenny”
the hotel was very nice, spacious room, very nice bathrooms with heated tile floors. A little on the edge of town, but the city is small enough to get to town center with a 5 minute drive. Helpful staff, good amenities.
“Lyrath Hotel & Spa - schön gelegen”
Lyrath liegt sehr schön in einer parkähnlichen Umgebung, in der man sich gerne mit Hilfe der Rezeption (es gibt Karten des Anwesens) umsehen kann . Annehmlichkeiten wie Schwimmbad, Fitnness Center & Co, sind vorhanden und gut zu erreichen. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Frühstück gebucht - es gab ein sehr reichhaltiges Buffet mit allen Leckereien, die man sich wünschen kann. Dazu frisches Obst, frische Säfte - was will man mehr. Das Hotel liegt etwas ausserhalb von Kilkenny, man braucht auf jeden Fall ein Auto oder ähnliches.
