“Liegt leider nicht zentral, ist aber direkt bei einer Metro-Station.”

In die Jahre gekommenes, aber sehr sauberes Mittelklassehotel. Liegt leider nicht zentral aber direkt bei einer Metro-Station. Man kann mit sechs Stationen die Altstadt und das Zentrum erreichen (Fahrpreis 2 Hryvni = ca. 15 Cent). Taxis haben alle keinen Taxameter, der Preis muss vorher ausgemacht werden und ist im Vergleich zur Metro hoch. Hotel Mir bis zur Altstadt 80 Hryven' = ca. 7,5 €). Taxikosten von Flughafen zum Hotel 300 Hryven' (ist angeblich der offizielle Preis). Das Hotel ist preiswert und durchaus empfehlenswert.

Area recommendations
Die Altstadt von Kiev ist absolut sehenswert und in drei Tagen zu bewältigen. 2 UNESCO-Weltkulturerben: Sophienkathedrale und Höhlenkloster, aber auch viel Sehenswertes im Zentrum. Die Bevölkerung ist freundlich aber es gibt Probleme mit der Sprache und der kyrilischen Schrift. Die Jugend kann durchwegs gut englisch.
Getting there
Wenn man der kyrilischen Schrift nicht mächtig ist, ist eine Anreise mit dem Auto fast nicht möglich. Flug und Taxi sind zu empfehlen.
Getting around
In Kiew nur mit der Metro (1 Chip kostet 15 Cent).
