“Everything worked, nothing broken, for Ukraine thats pretty good..”
Great value for money, central location but noisy with the windows open ( which had to be open becuase the heating was somehwere between 'hot' and 'nuclear' - better too hot than too cold! Breakfast great except the Hotel thought they'd rip off tourists by offering all inclusive breakfast WITHOUT coffee which was 17 Hrivnas extra - ha ha but thats £1.70 - little do they know its £ in starbucks so still cheap! Apart from that, great place, decent value for money and the first place i've ever stayed where they put condoms in the mini bar...?!?!
“Good value and Interesting”
The position of the hotel in central Kiev is very good - between the river and Independence Square.However,the air conditioning in my room didn't work and so it was rather cold...
“Good Overnight Stay”
Hotel Dnipro's central location is its ace card. For an overnight stay in Kiev it put me right on the main street, within walking distance of a park, the river, St. Andrew's cathedral. It's also on the metro line. Service and standard of the room were nothing special, but at the right price I would recommend this hotel
“Business Trip”
It's an ok hotel. Employees helpful. It’s a bit Soviet, but if you need a hotel in the centre of the city and don't really care it is fine for those purposes. Location is very good and breakfast is proper CIS with the traditional Ukrainian/ Russian salads!:) Unfortunately internet is not part of the service and is quite expensive, so better use a café next door.
“A good start”
The hotel, is what you would expect, for a normal European class hotel. The location is excellent. The safe in the room, and ATM machine in the lobby were something that many hotels in Europe lack. The hotel is adjacent to a nightclub featuring nude performers, so may not be suitable for families. Breakfast is served until 10am, even on weekends, which I thought was too early, the streets in front of the hotel are cobbled, which adds to the noise. There was no shop, and the front desk was unable to supply me with toiletries
“STAY AWAY !!!”
Don't go there! Unless you want to experience life during the cold war that is !! The hotel and all the furniture/beds/etc are so old it should all be demolished. Go to Rus Hotel for instance which is a similar price but at least modern. I have had the misfortune to stay there twice and on the first stay I had no hot water for a shower before heading off to catch an early flight. Single rooms are extremely small and bathrooms have not be touched or modernised since the hotel was built. This hotel should not be on Expedia's options
