From the moment we arrived the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The reception area which was on the top floor looked over the sea which was beautiful and had some lovely comphy chairs to sit in to appreciate the view and we chilled ithere one afternoon when it was raining. We had a sea facing room with shower on level 4 which is just under reception and it was spacious with bath robes slippers flip flops and a beach bag to borrow during your stay - a nice touch. Breakfast was very good and catered for all nationalities although didn't appreciate the birds flying in pecking at the pastries! All the catering staff again were very helpful and took your coffee orders. The pool was wonderful and very warm and the sea whilst we were there was also lovely to swim in. Cocktails were fab especially during happy hour. We didn't eat in hotel but lots of lovely cheap authentic Thai places to eat in the street or along the beach. Plenty of sun beds around the pool or overlooking the sea. Perfect hotel to chill with opportunities to visit other islands. We picked up a hire car so could drive to local markets etc and they had plenty of parking spaces. Throughly recommend this hotel and thought it was on the nicest beach we saw.
"One of the most beautiful hotels I have ever seen"
I travel extensively. This property is among the top three in terms of appearance that blends perfectly with the total Thai experience. Service and facilities were equal to it's beauty. We had considered moving over to Sheridan because it is on the beach - how glad I am that we didn't! (We found our own fabulous beach ten minutes away ). We visited the Sheridan while in Krabe just to compare - the Sofitel is in a whole different class. Front desk and consierge were especially helpful and classy. Have already recommended to many colleagues. Dr. Fleming
We were here for just over a week and felt very much at Home! All all the staff spoke excellent English and were more than happy to help us in any way they could! The resort itself was very well kept and looked after, spacious rooms with balconies and very good air-conditioning made for a very comfortable stay! The food that they served both traditional Thai and Western was amazing! I would highly recommend this resort!

"Easy walking distance to the beach. Good restaura."
A very good relaxing stay, with a good choice of activities to do. Nosey Parker elephant tour was very good, they looking after the animals very well, guides give you plenty of information on the feeding and care. You are also shown how elephant dung paper is made. Need to book in advance
The coffee restaurant was excellent, a very good choice of food, excellent service, relaxing back ground music and reasonably price. The cocktail bar around the corner seems to be the meeting place for everyone but slightly over priced. Scooter hire is a must if you wish to get around although the hotel do run a shuttle bus to town. All in all a good choice of accommodation and a good location if you want to be out of the main town.
Due to water pressure issue causes sometimes we didnt received water supply. However, hotel staff very fast settle our problem. Although koh kwang resort a bit far from attractive site, rent a motorcycle may save up lots of our travel time and quite interesting to explore the Ao nang or Muang area.
Upscale Khlong Muang Beach is one of Krabi’s quieter beaches. The long expanse of white sand leads to tide pools on the north end and a royal residence at the south end. The beach has just a few restaurants, with most nightlife at nearby Ao Nang, 15 minutes away.
