A very professional staff and high class accommodations made my stay a great experience. This is the second hotel I've stayed at in the Premier Hotel Group (the other being the Oreander in Yalta) and I was very impressed by both. You will not lack for any modern comforts at Kharkiv Palace.
Stayed in the hotel for almost a week- food and service by the hotel staff was excellent. Best hotel that I've stayed at in the country. Premium service for a good price. Will definitely stay there again if given the opportunity.

Nice room, excellent restaurant, extremely reasonable price and helpful staff. Only negative is that it's a ways from city center and nothing else around in terms of restaurants but just a block from the metro and I didn't feel the need to go elsewhere.
My room was clean and very comfortable, excellent bathroom with a "rainforest" shower. Heating was good plus the window opened for ventilation and temperature control (not necessary as it snowed on 2 days of my short visit). The room was cleaned daily to a good standard. All the staff spoke some English and were extremely pleasant, friendly and helpful. They went out of their way for example by lending me a swipe card for the metro and by providing a packed breakfast for my early start on my departure day.
The hotel is within easy walking distance of all the main attractions in the city. Breakfast in the restaurant was good, though the choice was limited and was not the traditional English breakfast - but for me, part of the joy of travelling is eating as the locals do. I ate in the restaurant on a couple of evenings too and dinner was good and good value.
It is not a business hotel - no desk in the room or gym etc but was exceptionally pleasant to stay at for a short city break. If I visit Khharkiv again I will be happy to stay here again.

All reception staff spoke good English and were very welcoming, pleasant and helpful.
Unfortunately they were renovating the restaurant/bar. I was told on Thursday that it "should be completed by Saturday". When I departed on Tuesday - (as far as I know) it was still not complete. This was sad - because I would have liked to have seen it. I think the renovating was performed by mice wearing soft shoes because I rarely heard any sounds - which I was very grateful for.
However, the kitchen was open and food could be delivered to the room. Very good, fresh, tasty - I highly recommend.
My room had no bedside table or power points near the head of the bed. Neither was there any table or chairs. So, if I had invited a guest to dine with me in my room - we would have had to crouch on the bed or share a stool facing a wall.
Deep, comfortable bath - wonderful. Door to mini bar opened with difficulty because it was located too close to the thick carpet.
This hotel is above a 24 hour supermarket. One can gain access to the supermarket from within the hotel - which is very convenient. The supermarket is above average and has a good deli counter and lots of nice "treats". Metro station, money changer and banks are all within 5-6 minutes walk.
I used the hotel airport transfer service.... only 20 minutes drive - without rushing.
I will stay there again because I truly believe they will continue to improve.
For the most part this is a very good hotel. The rooms are very clean, staff is friendly, and it's a very good price. There are something's they could do to make it better. First the wifi works great in the lobby but hardly at all in room on the third floor. I would have to go sit in the lobby to use the internet. Not something I like having to do while staying at a hotel. It's really nice that they deliver breakfast to your room every morning and it's included in the price. However the breakfast is not very good. The first day I ordered scrambled eggs and recived sunny runny. The restaurant at the hotel overall was very disapointing. I ate dinner there once, it was no better than my breakfast. I would stay here again but I would ask to be on the first floor, and I would make my own breakfast arrangements.
