Pleasant location, comfortable rooms and excellent food. Very popular for dining with the locals and seems to be the bar of choice for many of them. You can't accuse Ring of Kerry Hotel of being luxurious, but it was more than acceptable. My biggest problem here was wi-fi access, which did not work on arrival, despite several attempts by management to reboot the system. I was told the rooms at the end of the corridor were sometimes liable to service interruptions, and if it didn't work by the second day they had a room to move me into. Luckily one of the younger staff took the problem into her own hands, and had me up and running a couple of hours later. I was connected from then until the end of my stay. I believe the manager was as relieved as I was. It is obvious they cared about the welfare of their guests - a truly Irish sense of being welcome.
