It is a clean hotel, good service, nice gym, the only problem I had was that the phone reception was very bad.

Room for improvement

Posted 26-Aug-2014
Pros: The swimming pool. Convenient location.
Cons: Cleanliness. numbers and quality of staff.
Location: Leeds Castle. County Showground.
My stay was generally okay. However, the accommodation was not as clean as I would like, the toilet would not flush properly and, believe it or not, the water was too hot, in itself a strange thing to complain about and the real disappointment was that the staff did not seem to understand that the stock answer of "No other rooms available" would suffice.

Stop Over -

Posted 22-Aug-2014
Pros: This Venue is very busy at weekends and appears popular for weddings, the staff were very pleasant and accommodating amidst the chaos it all.
Location: The Royal Dockyard, Leeds Castle, Retail Park at Ashford all worth a visit.
The hotel was an ideal base for a four day 3night stop over on our way back from France, to see Leeds Castle, Chatham Dockyard and visit an area we hadn't before.

RIP OFF AT CHECKOUT

Posted 30-Jul-2014
Cons: DON'T CHARGE EXTRA TO PAY THE BILL STAFF EXCUSE IS THE COSTS - WELL BUILDING, BUSINESS RATES, STAFF, FIT OUT ALL ARE COSTS, BUT ARE NOT EXTRAS
Fine except for being charged extra to pay by credit card. Tiny little light grey sign on reception and not pointed out before checkin, only at checkout. Nothing at the time of booking. RIP OFF!

Unusually poor for Village Urban Resorts

Posted 13-Jul-2014 on Hotels.com
As always friendly and helpful staff. However the cleanliness of the room was well below par this time. Previous guest debris under chair and tumblers in bathroom still with toothpaste residue in the base was not very pleasant. I stayed two nights and on arrival for my second night, I had obviously dropped a sweet wrapper as it was still on the floor and the bed covers had been merely thrown back on rather than the bed made. My first time staying at Village Maidstone and probably my last.

Like sleeping on the surface of the sun.

Posted 08-Jul-2014
On a mild night (c12 degrees outside) the room, with no air con, was unbearably hot. Could not sleep. Windows don't open. Staff sympathetic & helpful but unable to provide a robust solution for the second night (which was a mercifully cooler night).
