Perfect service

Posted 24-Aug-2014
Everything about our stay was very smooth and easy. Check in was easy, room was great. The night porter was probably the nicest man I've ever met, even arriving back at nearly 4am he was sharp and couldn't help enough. If I am ever in the area again I will stay here.

Hotel and Cavern near Canterbury

Posted 17-Aug-2014
Pros: Convenient location with free parking.
Location: Canterbury Cathedral is the most obvious place to visit.
We chose this hotel as those closer to the city centre had no or limited parking. Just over a mile away with footpaths signposted. Despite being close to a busy road the hotel was quiet. Can't comment on the food as we didn't eat there.

Clean and Tidy...

Posted 25-Jul-2014 on Hotels.com
The room was quite small but clean and tidy. Staff was very responsive. The bed was soft and mushy. Some sort of water pump made noises off and on at various times. No air-conditioning, but a fan was provided. The Hotel is a bit distant from the centre -- maybe two kilometres. Best price in town.

More Queen Vic

Ideally placed as a stop off on the way to the coast, but I wouldn't stay any longer. My room was large, but old and shabby and cold. The restaurant is something out of the 1970's, with carvery and black forest gateau. Prices however are good.

A good place to stay & explore Canterbury

Posted 23-May-2014
Pros: Good location.
Cons: Access from the main road is tricky, & could be better marked.
Location: Canterbury!
The Victoria hotel is an easy 15 minute walk from the historic Canterbury town center. Comfortable rooms, pleasant, helpful staff, and a good restaurant on premises.

Will keep using! Refurbed since last visited too!

I have stayed here a few times over the past couple of years and keep coming back. Was pleasantly surprised this year when the rooms had been redone so even better than before. Bathrooms large and clean, rooms have plenty of space, big comfortable beds and everything you need. Will keep recommending.

horrible roon

335 I think was the number I chose to forget! It was cramped a double instead of two singles for me vans my ten years old son. Bathroom was cramped as was going to the toilet. Had this been my first stay in a Kent hotel I'd never go back!

Not bad for the price

Posted 14-Apr-2014
Not bad considering how pricey hotels in this area can be. Breakfast was quite overpriced, so we did not eat it at the hotel, it is a shame it wasn't more discounted for people staying there. The walk into the city was about 10-15 mins which was fine for us, although might be offputting for some people. The room was quite hot (I think we were above the kitchen) which wasn't ideal as the air-con wasn't great. Overall, the hotel is ok for the price you pay, it was clean and the facilities were ok. If I visit Canterbury again I would be tempted to pay a little bit more to stay somewhere in a more central location with breakfast included

Three days at the Victoria Hotel

Posted 11-Apr-2014
We picked this hotel randomly as a base for visiting Dover Castle and the sites of Canterbury. Our choice could not have been better: not too close to the City but within easy walking distance (therefore quiet) and ample car parking. Food was very good and the staff were very attentive.
