Practical but dated. Not a good Hilton standard.

Posted 16-Sep-2014
This hotel could do with a major revamp. The staff were very helpful, in the end. Although we'd requested an early check in, we were told there were no rooms ready. My partner had to suggest for them to ask housekeeping to see if they'd finished any rooms. They were good at booking us taxis at short notice.

Overnight visit for family visit

Posted 07-Sep-2014
We were visiting a sick relative and wanted to be in the same hotel as other family members. The booking was made while dashing down the motorway and we knew we would be checking in late. We thought this might be a problem so phoned ahead and we were treated very sympathetically when we arrived. The room was excellent, lovely and comfortable. Breakfast was just what we needed, lots of choice and plenty of tea and coffee. The hotel is central for anywhere in and around Maidstone, which was great as we are not local and needed to be in various locations and the staff were helpful in directing us

Excellent large hotel, food quality a tad weak.

Posted 04-Sep-2014
I stay in Hiltons quite a lot, and this one is overall pretty good. Rooms large and comfy. Staff very attentive and helpful. Big gym and swimming pool. Hotel not in easy walking distance of the town, but plenty nearby. Only slight gripe was the food, which is basic carvery quality, and a very limited wine list. A'la carte steak pretty tough. But I've had far worse, and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again! B.

A pleasant stay with space to unwind

Posted 02-Sep-2014
Pros: Smart and Tidy
Cons: New beds would not go a miss
Location: several restaurants in short walking distance.
Arrived at the hotel by car, parking is close to entrance. pleasant member of staff to greet us, unfortunately they had not got a delivery that week and had limited drinks supply. Bed was a bit old and noisy but room was clean and fresh smelling and bathroom was clean and well presented. Loved the pool and steam room and all in all had a good stay.

Noisy, close to dual carriageway

Posted 01-Sep-2014
Pros: The room was fine.
Cons: Install a lift. Put some soundproofing in the bedroom walls.
No lift - not good as my partner had recently had a knee replacement so had to try to climb 2 flights of stairs to the bedroom. He was consequently in a lot of pain. No soap in the room for hand washing. Very few teabags, milk etc. Thin bedroom walls so noise from other residents kept me awake most of the night.

Good Hotel........

Posted 30-Aug-2014
Pros: Room size and plentiful breakfast
Cons: Need air conditioning
Location: Close to the town centre
Really impressed with this hotel. The receptionist was very helpful, as were the restaurant staff. The room was nice and clean, my only gripe is the lack of air conditioning. The window only opened a couple of inches so the room was uncomfortably hot. The breakfast choice was great, and they only charged for the adults, meaning the 2 children ate free. I ordered breakfast when I arrived, which turned out to be over £6 cheaper per person than booking online up front. I don't know if this was a special offer. ?....

Nice Bar Food

Posted 26-Aug-2014
Pros: Bar Food
Cons: Every thing
Location: no idea
Arrived at hotel at 2.30pm, room not ready, went off and came back after 20 minutes and room still not ready, had to keep asking and eventually at 3.20 we were given a key and no apology, we had travelled for 3 hours with bank holiday traffic and had our 1 year old and 3 year old with us. The hotel bar staff was awful, he was not organised to run a bar and there was a que at the bar most of the evening. Our food was good but our plates were never removed after we finished our meal, actually I did not see any tables cleared . Dishes left every where. Over all very disappointed and will not return. Staff really need some Training on all levels. not suitable for families at all.

Nice hotel in the Kent close to Leeds Castle

Posted 26-Aug-2014
We choose this Hotel necause of his central location in kent close to leeds castle, canterbury and rochester. We had a nice stay, room was quite big. The walk to our room a bit long , the building is almost 200m long.
