stay here every anniversary

Posted 16-Feb-2015
We stay here every year for our anniversary, even though we live round the corner. I have to say the experience was not as pleasant as we normally get and the beds were very uncomfortable. We love the hotel but feel that things have slacked a little when it comes to the rooms.

Friday and Saturday nights.

Posted 10-Feb-2015
Pros: Bright, cheery entrance hall. Large room and bathroom. M25 noise could not be heard. We had a nice view! Nice latte and pastries at breakfast area.
Cons: An issue was that the bed was really solid!! Also, the AC/heating droned all night.
Location: Bluewater is nearby. Good shopping and excellent restaurants. I would stay here again - best hotel in the area.
Lovely staff, pleasant stay. Jennifer and Nancy were really friendly as were the staff in the bar/breakfast area. The parking payment was a bit confusing. I didn't realise that I would pay a £4 flat day rate with a multiple entry card instead of the stated £24 a day at the car park entrance. This pleasing situation should be on your website. The fitness centre and pool looked great but we were, unfortunately, too busy to try them.

Hard creaky beds and limited leisure facilities

Posted 02-Feb-2015
Pros: The location was good - especially as we wanted shopping, cinema and restaurants close by. The hotel was quiet, and staff helpful
Cons: Notice of limited use of leisure facilities, comfortable beds
Location: Great for Bluewater and Lakeside - which suited us!
Stayed here for two nights, spur of the moment decision so limited with other hotels. Advertised with leisure and spa facilities - but the spa lady had two days off when we were there, and the (rather small) pool was being used for swimming lessons to an outside swim school so about 10 children and two instructors making lots of noise and using most of the pool. Because the changing facilities are limited, had to share these with children, so had to queue for a shower and a cubicle. When I mentioned this to reception nothing was done. Bed wasn't particularly comfortable - hard and creaky - another couple mentioned this whilst chatting in the lift!). The restaurant was nice, breakfast was fab and the service in here was excellent. But, overall, would expect better from the Hilton Brand

Nice hotel.

Posted 27-Jan-2015
Deal we got was good value. We chose this hotel because it was close to a family party venue. Bathroom had a bath which we liked. Some areas were becoming dated. Bed needs replacing, not as good a standard as we expected as had a foam topper on a hard squeaky base. Ironing board and iron wasn't used but was good that these were available. We did not use the bar, restaurant or leisure facilities but they looked very good. We were surprised that parking needed to be paid as an extra, only £4 but surely that charge should not an additional cost. Would stay again.

Tired but clean

Posted 25-Jan-2015
We chose this hotel as it was close to a meeting place we had to be next morning and the premier inn was pretty expensive and over the river. We expected better from Hilton and I knew of the Hilton as I used to work close by. The place must be 15+ years old and wow didn't the internal decor show it - lift doors dings archetraves battered carpets tired tap chrome polished off. The room was clean though but the bed not very comfortable. On arrival Friday night 10pm there was a belated Xmas party going on in the lobby areas and so we went straight up rather than have a drink first. At 1am the revellers came to bed and decided it was fine to have a 30 minute after party in the corridor. The next night we were awoken at 5.30am Sunday morning by a group of young guys leaving who thought shouting was the done thing in hotels. We complained both morning afters and after some push the receptionist waived our £8 in parking charges. This hotel clearly caters to the Crossways trading estate and so punters are a captive audience. Won't be going back.

Hilton Hotel

Posted 24-Dec-2014
Pros: Decent room size and breakfast was delicious.
Cons: Complimentary items to be reviewed and thought put into about how many people in the room.
Location: Location was just off the M25 so easy access and Bluewater shopping centre only a 5 - 10 minute drive away.
Decent room, good breakfast, friendly staff, but missing that umph factor. For being a Hilton Hotel you always expect that little bit extra however, the room was missing complimentary items so we had to request for these, occasionally dirty items found such as plates at breakfast and cups in the room. However, would still recommend this hotel as it was decent for the price we paid and location it was.

Spacious rooms

Posted 11-Dec-2014
Pros: Nice breakfast and big room
Location: 2 big shopping centres are nearby
Stayed in the King Hilton Guest room, the room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. We booked breakfast with our room and the choice is very good for both hot and cold options. Location wise its off the motorway and easy to get to by cab from Dartford station. If you like shopping then both Bluewater and Thurrock Lakeside shopping centres are nearby. I would definitely stay here again.
