Nice hotel on the seafront

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Staff were friendly and breakfast was excellent with good choices. Room and bed were very comfortable. Wifi connection was reasonable but connection was quite weak in our room on the third floor.

Short Stay 3 day holiday

We used the best western as a base for our 3 day holiday visiting Port Lympne and Dover Castle. Decided to spend a little more to get a superior room with a balcony. The room was so hot we had to sleep with the balcony doors open, the bed was meant to be a king size but was actually 2 twins with a mattress thrown over it meaning there was a massive dip in the middle. The mattress itself was super hard we were actually looking forward to leaving. The room wasn't hoovered during our stay, toiletries weren't refreshed and we were given a random number of clean towels. We had room service for one night only and the salmon salad I ordered was horrendous. First and last time we ate at the hotel. Expected a little more for upgrading to a superior room and was a little disappointed.

Pros: conveniently placed to walk into town, we used it as a base to visit surrounding things of interest
Cons: Room and bed very small, very tight on space in the bedroom and bathroom
Location: Easy access to Dungeness historical site, Romney March and RSPB
Food good, staff friendly, bar not staffed enough gave up on waiting for a drink

One Night Travellers

Pros: I was was located sea front view and it is amazing to see the Sunrise and beach front. Food is Good if you are welling to pay the price.
Cons: Bed, Power Shower and more closet space. For incentive Allow guest to connect via HDMI for External devices (This is becoming essential)
Location: There is a very Good Marina Pub, That provide the BEST EVER Fish and Chips. I have travelled Nation wide around UK and This is a BIG MUST to try.
My over ALL experience with staff are GOOD, amenities: Left is too claustrophobic, Not enough space on closet, Very slow flowing water to take shower and temperamental to adjust temperature and Shower cubical space is way small. TV: HDMI are ALL Disabled...... very Negative and it will prevent future re-visiting the hotel (Mainly used this for SKYPE Family and Friends while away from home).

Just what we wanted

Went to Dover for the castle decided to stay the weekend so booked this hotel, very close to castle and had eveything we needed staff friendly, room basic but had all facilites we needed. Only bad comment our room was so cold and raidiator was on the whole time. Found a fantasic indian resturant round the corner! And beautiul pub on the marina shopping parade oposite worth a visit! We had a great stay

Undichte Fester & kalte Zimmer

Pros: Die Lage
Cons: Das genannte Mangel wie oben beschrieben beheben.
Als Familie haben wir das Zimmer für eine Übernachtung gebucht. Für leute die gewohnt sind mit offenem Fenster im Winter zu schlafen könnte kein Problem sein. Aber es hat uns gestört dass es kalt war. Das Frühstück war nicht besoderes und für Cappochino müsste man extra bezahlen!

Marina Hotel Dover

Pros: Not bad gym plus it is free
Cons: Have the ability to watch the tv from a seat then the bed
Room comfortable could do with the ability to lower the temperature in the room. Breakfast was very nice lots of choice and plenty of it

Overnight stop prior to early ferry.

Good location. Free on-street parking 1700-0900. Great Indian buffet on a Thursday, we hit lucky! Excellent and very professional Receptionist, a young blonde lady who was extremely efficient and a real professional asset to the hotel. Suggest that you settle your account the evening prior to departure as there were a number of delays with the card payment system that meant we saw a long queue on departure. All round a good hotel which I would recommend.
