The positives - staff was friendly, hotel was clean
The neutrals - very dated but true to photos so was what I'd expected when I booked it
The negatives- when I checked in I was told that because of covid no one would be entering my room unless I specifically asked for something. This has been standard for other places I've stayed during the pandemic, so I had no problem with it, but on the third night of my stay my bin had been emptied making it obvious someone had been in the room. This was perhaps a misunderstanding on my part but either way unnerved me. I was also given a code to enter after a specific time in the evening, but it was changed without notifying me. When I attempted to ring the doorbell to have someone manually let me in there were 3 separate bells with no clear labeling and it took several minutes with multiple calls to get someone to let me in. When I did eventually get in my key no longer worked in my door. I was told this was because I'd kept my key in the same handbag where I kept my mobile phone. This has never been a problem for me at other hotels, but could perhaps be the result of dated technology? After that evening I checked out a day early and stayed at a hotel closer to the airport for my last night
