Nice rooms, spacious, International indeed Great room service Good with families Front desk staff are professional, no bias etc For such a large hotel they are doing a great job.

Good staff plenty of help, thirteen of us had a meal and we had 4 bad meals the manager did all he could to put things right. Needless to say I was not charged for the meals and Joseph did all he could to put things right, breakfast was excerlant plenty of variety

Hotel rather old fashioned

Pros: Was nice and quiet.
Cons: The food was average for a hotel that advertizes itself as 'International'.
Location: Very little to do nearby but as we were visiting relatives who lived within walking distance this did not worry us.
Something of a seventies feel about the decor etc. Had been travelling in Europe so was not over impressed when our booked room was not ready when we arrived - at 4:30pm.

Nice hotel, shame about the restaurant

The hotel is nice and well situated for travellers, albeit not too good if you don't have a car. The service in the restaurant was hard work on the Sunday night we were there. Slow, inattentive and insincere. The food was of an above average standard but noting to shout about. Breakfast was a bit of a chore as well, tea had to be requested rather than offered, and dopey American tourists clogged up the struggling buffet.

Absolutely lovely hotel in a nice quiet location. Close to a supermarket and main links. Upon arriving a reception I was left to wait! Checking in the staff member was a tad rude and tried to overcharge me. I had to show him the email I received with the correct price and then email it to him before he accepted it. This would be fine only for the signal reception on three is non existant. After stepping outside and climbing a tree I managed to email my confirmation booking and they then allowed me to check in for the price agreed on the booking. The room was nice but again signal for phones is non existant. The wifi signal barely reached my room on the ground floor so for business purposes it wasn't great. Other than that the bed was comfy and the tv worked. I would stay again but would likely print out the price of the booking to show them as to avoid any confusion. First impressions are lasting ones.

The hotel is a standard design that claims to have four stars (which seems generous). Location is convenient only if you have a car...the nearby attractions within walking distance are Sainsbury and a bunch of local fast food outlets. The rooms are okay to good, except there is no good light which makes working inn the hotel room less attractive. The restaurant is VERY MEDIOCRE but with a car there are a few decent alternative close by (Halfway Pub is one). Breakfast is good except for the coffee which is just awful...when several people walk in to the breakfast room with coffee purchased at the hotel coffee shop I think the management should get the point....service is a bit on and off, "I'm just doing my job" attitude

I stayed at this hotel while touring Kent, and found it to be very good. Staff in front office and the restaurant were excellent, professional and helpful. There were excellent public ares beside the bar, and restaurant, small area seating under an atrium, ideal for escaping your room, but still retaining privacy. Breakfast was very good, plenty of parking.

Ashford International Hotel

Great hotel. Our party of 3 couples thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay, and will only consider this hotel, on our next stay in Ashford.
