“Best Western Keene, NH”
The hotel was fair. It was noisy and the restaurants around the area were poor. The room was comfortable, but the AC would work off and on.
“Clean and comfortable”
Hotel was clean and comfortable. Good service. Great complimentary breakfast.
“Okay for price”
I thought the rate was a little high for a week night, but it was consistent with other rates in the area. The bed was comfortable and very clean, and everything in the room was well provided.
“Not impressed”
Even though the staff was very friendly, I was disappointed in the continental breakfast. Not healthy food for a diabetic. Should have fresh fruit, whole grain choices and sugar free hot chocolate. The room was comfortable and clean with a lumpy comforter. For a non smoking hotel, the halls wreaked of the smell of smoke. They need to clean and update the lobby and clean the carpet in the halls.
“Forget about using the pool!!!”
This hotel rents out the pool for kids parties and personal "memberships" so the one feature we were excited about was crowded the whole weekend, The staff was nice and the rooms were nicely sized. They do allow dogs and I had to call the front desk twice to ask them to quiet the loud yapping.
“Don't Stay Here!”
I had stayed at this hotel before and had a great experience. This time the room had cobwebs in the corners and hanging on the curtains. The bathroom was moldy and just generally grungy - I refused to allow my 3 year-old to take a bath in the tub because it was gray and looked as though it had not been cleaned or disinfected in a quite some time. I contacted their main office and was told that I would be contacted by someone at the hotel to correct the problem but no one ever called. Overall, I was quite disappointed and would NEVER stay at this hotel again. In fact, it has colored my opinion of the chain and now I won't be staying with that chain again.
“Normal excellence”
Room clean, water hot, wakeup call on time.
“Meh.”
The staff were very helpful and friendly. However, the restaurant is undergoing construction, and there was a lot of shuffling of people for breakfast. The staff did the best they could under the circumstances. I requested a room with no stairs, because one of our party has a great deal of difficulty walking, and we were given rooms on the second floor - because there was an elevator. They met the letter of the request, but not the intent. Our party member had to walk (painfully) quite a way to the room from the elevator, through a set of doors.
“Hotel was great, but....”
Can't help but mention that my husband came down with a virus the night we arrived, so we were unable to use the amenities we were anticipating over the 3 days of our stay. But, I was able to do some shopping in the area, so all was not lost.
“Not many options”
If you go to this area you will not have many options, that is why I see this hotel as an option. However, there the staff is not that friendly and the hotel even though it was renovated still feels like its old.
