Reception were exceptional - we phoned to say we were arriving late and they left a key for us. Tthe next day they researched local attractions and printed a discount voucher for us. The whole place was spotlessly clean and there was a shuttle service we could book to the train station.
I recently stayed 2 nights with my husband and 2 boys. It was a great experience from the start. When we arrived at Kawaguchiko Station, we approached the tourist help desk to ask for assistance on direction to the hotel. To our surprise, the hotel sent a van to pick us up from the station. We had a nice spacious room, with our own private onsen and a magnificent view of Mt Fuji. The front desk staff was great, friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The Japanese breakfast spread was good and generous. The only small downside was the hotel was located slightly off the main road and the nearest restaurant and convenience store was about 10 mins walk away. However the walk was a worthwhile walk as you will reach several restaurants, a 7-11 and a big supermarket called Agino.
Wow... what can I say? How often do you get a hotel with a view of such a famous landmark as Mt Fuji. Our room was facing Mt Fuji and we could not stop staring at it. We paid for smoking room as it appeared that non-smoking rooms were not available. However, when we asked during the check in if we can have non-smoking room, the lady said "yes." We did not have to pay anything extra and we got a room with an amazing view.

Rooms are showing age but acceptable to me and my wife.
Views of mt fuji and lake are good as expected, you will not be disappointed
Location is uphill, suggest to take their scheduled bus 3-6 pm local time. Otherwise buy the sight seeing bus ticket, ask conceirge at fuji bus station
Facilities are typical for onsen hotels. No gym.
