“Good hotel, great staff and a good price.”

The hotel is being renovated, I Unfortunately did not get a newly renovated room, If your interested in new furniture and so forth ask for a renovated room its a little more, Everything else was wounderfull the kitchen was clean and the staff are freindly and treat you with smiles. All in a budget priced room and local. Verry happy.

“Great Getaway”

This was the second time we stayed at Plantation Hale. The grounds and rooms were very clean and well kept. It was quiet both during the day and evening. No crazy parties or screaming kids. The beach is a short walk from the condos and seems very private. Reasonable shopping is nearby. The only thing that could have been improved was the bathtub/shower enclosure. It was pretty old and the paint was starting peel. We would definitely go there again. Thanks for a great getaway!

“Huge room, tons of ammenties!”

The rooms are more like a little one bedroom apartment than the typical tiny motel room- we had a kitchen, living room, bed room with two queen beds, bathroom, and separate shower/toilet room, two TV's, two ceiling fans, two full balconies! Loved that they also had a fold-out sofa, everyone had plenty of room to sleep. Having a full kitchen was great, we just bought groceries nearby and saved a lot of money that way not having having to eat out all the time. Location very central to everything on the island, yet quiet and we had beautiful ocean views. Very clean, great laundry factilities as well. Would definitely stay here again, excellent ammenities for the price.

“Great for the money”

While you won't get any ocean views or high end perks here, this is a solid hotel if you're looking to stay relatively cheap. The room was clean and pretty updated (unlike many inexpensive hotels which look like they're straight out of the 70's). The kitchen helped in cutting meal expenses and there are a couple outdoor grills you can use. The pool area and jacuzzi while small were clean. There is a small beach a couple minutes walk from the hotel which was pretty vacant but nice. The hotel is located on the middle of the east coast close to a supermarket and restaraunts etc. I had read about bug problems in some past reviews and while I did have a couple bugs in my room I doubt it was anything out of the ordinary for such a warm climate. There was only one person working the check-in desk and even then the desk was empty at times. All in all the pros outweighed the cons, Id stay here again without question.

“excellent value for the money”

About the only thing that this hotel is missing is restaurant and SPA (it has basic pool, nothing fancy) services that comes standard with other pricier hotels... but then again, they are pricier and you get to pay for it one way or another.

“Still Great Value after 10 years!”

Hotel is well-located on the eastern side so the longest we had to drive was about 2 hrs to get anywhere. Suite was huge and, although the wicker furniture was well-used, clean. Easy access to excellent restaurants and supermarkets. We found no evidence of bedbugs or cockroaches (2 tiny geckos however which we treated as pets). Tip: remember to open the louvered windows to get the sea breeze!

“Would stay here again”

Nothing fancy, just somewhere to stay that has a kitchenette. If you are planning on heading north and south often this is perfect, it is in the middle of both.
