This is our second visit to Alexander The Great Hotel in Paphos and we haven't been disappointed .the back of the hotel overlooks a fantastic pool and beyond that the Meditteranean Sea . There is a sandy municipal beach with steps access from the grounds . Sun beds are allocated for your room . You can choose where you want to be and change anytime you want .
Lots of peaceful seating areas in and out .The pool bar and other bars are well run and staff always pleasant . There is a buffet breakfast to suit everyone
All communal areas spotlessly clean as well as bedrooms .
There is entertainment daily and nighttime in Alexander's Bar .
You will get a quieter room if you go for pool or sea view . However we were at the front this time and weren't bothered with traffic noise
The Kaniko Management Team are so good and will ensure you have a good stay .
We were very comfortable here, the staff are extremely welcoming and pleasant. This is a very elegant Hotel with plenty of space and a serene atmosphere. The location is fantastic, just above the beach.
Shops, bus station and Harbour are all a short walk away.
You pays your money & takes your choice. For a one nighter in Paphos it was good value, 4 of us stayed in two rooms which were comfortable, clean, breakfast was OK too, but the croissants were older than me & I'm retired. They could have broken the tiles if you dropped one. That said the rest of the breakfast was far better than expected.. Will us again when we go down that side of the island.

We went over the new year the only issue we had was the heating picked and choose when it workd. As we went self catering the oven and hobb was needed but the two wodnt get hot it was a little disapointing when tryin to cook.

Hotel location is excellent being approximately 5 minutes walk from the seafront. Note that if arriving at Pafos international airport I would recommend taking the bus (service 612) which will get you to the main bus station (located in the harbour area and 10 minutes walk from the hotel) in around 30 minutes; cost €1.50 versus taxi at €30.00!. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and in particular Nicky on main reception who was brilliant. The breakfast buffet was very good with a good selection of hot and cold items. Note that there are a number of convenience stores (and a large supermarket) close buy so you will not be stuck if you want to buy additional food and snacks during the day.
In summary, the hotel was good value for what I paid and I would definitely stay there again.
I wanted somewhere that I could sleep and spend time comfortably between appointments. Hotel Pafiessa met these needs more than adequately. It also more than met the needs of those looking for extended time away from the british winter on limited incomes. It is showing signs of its age but is well maintained and the owner, his family and staff are friendly and approachable.
