This resort is absolutely perfect - clean and modern rooms, beautiful grounds and pools, delicious breakfast, helpful staff. While it is a ten minute walk from the beach and shops, there is a free shuttle a few times a day to get you there and it's more quiet and peaceful because of this. Would absolutely stay here again.
Spent 11 nights with a group of friends. Mid July, the weather was fantastic. 26 degrees overnight to 34 during the days. A little rain here and there which brought some relief from the heat but not too much to upset any plans. From lazing around the pools, a few drinks at the Irish pub across the road and plenty of local business to shop. One of the biggest challenges for me was trying quick calculations on currency conversions. Often bartering with the locals to then realising later it was all over 2 or 3 dollars. Still...its lots of fun and you always seem to walk away feeling you've won...lol. Getting around was easy, always a tuk tuk around and the most it cost us was 1000 baht (about A$40) to Phuket city AND that was split 10 ways. Beach around the corner, supermarket, plenty of bars, restaurants, massages and tailors trying convince you to get a suit. Suggest getting your laundering done by the locals, there are a few really close by. You pick it up next day all neatly folded and packaged and its cheap. We've left this place with some wonderful memories and some lovely local "friends" whom we look forward to seeing next time (yes...there will be a next time).

My stay at the hotel was not bad, but many aspects need some improvement. Staff at the check-in counter were unprofessional and careless. They seemed very confused and did not seem to know how to help their customers. They forgot to give me the key card to the hotel room. I asked for the airport transfer but they did not arrange it for me.
The housekeeping service was satisfying, so were the amenities. However, probably because of my race and ethnicity ( I am from Hong Kong), I was treated poorly by the workers. I did not have a joyful experience at Pacifica. Waiters there were not welcoming at all. They were very rude as well. I would not recommend that restaurant. The food at the breakfast place was great but again, staff were not friendly to me. One little thing that I've noticed is that they were very polite to cockasian, but relatively mean to Asians, specifically those with yellow skin. I think that this is very unfair and disturbing. People at El Gaucho on the other hand were very nice. They were very patient and helpful.
I met two life guards at the pool, both had very bad attitude. I kindly asked a life guard if my son could play the slide and he yelled "you take care" in a very arrogant manner. This is definitely not the kind of service I should get at a four-star hotel.
I had a good time at the spa. The price was affordable, and people were very nice.

Could not have been more pleased with this hotel, it's staff and on-site restaurant. Overall the Boomervang Village far exceeded our expectations in every way. What started out as a two day reservation was extended to four as we re-arranged our travel plans to include a longer stay at this hotel.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The staff were friendly and attentive. The rooms were clean and desanded and the roof top pool was great. Though our room smelt a little funny. Though restaurant was too expensive for those on small budget i.e. Backpackers.
