“Great hotel in a great location!”
The hotel looked brand new. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. It was located directly across from a park which was great for walking or running. It is also located in the Country Club Plaza district which has shops, restaurants and a movie theater. Parking was free and located behind the hotel. There is a restaurant in the hotel which serves breakfast each morning (not complimentary). The hotel had an exersize room, laundry facilities, an outdoor pool and an indoor whirlpool. The only problem we had was with the automatic deadbolts. Our friends ended up getting locked in their room for 30 mins. because the automatic deadbolt got stuck. Don't stay in room 213 and don't try to deadbolt the door manually. Other than that, I highly recommend this hotel.
“Convenient Location at Good Price”
I have never been to Kansas City before so I wasn't sure if I was choosing a good hotel that was close to the Kaufmann Center. I lucked out as the Center was within walking distance. The service was very nice, I used the great fitness room, and the breakfast service was efficient. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

If the personnel at this hotel represent everyone in Kansas City, then the city deserves the award for nicest people in any American city! Very comfy beds!
“nice and pleasant stay”
With the historical reputation, I was expecting an outdated decor for the hotel. However, it was nothing as I expected. It is up to the date and nothing smell like the old hotel would. I was happy for the first sight. The location is perfect for a weekend getaway. It was a nice and relaxing stay for me and my husband.

“Great location, okay service”
The hotel room was clean, comfortable, and pleasant. It was very convenient to be able to walk to all of the Country Club Plaza's attractions! Didn't have an opportunity to use the restaurant. One unfavorable comment - the front desk person made the comment, "Oh, you're an Expedia client." Not sure how I was expected to take that remark, but the tone was not pleasant! That put a slight cast on an otherwise pleasant stay (and didn't endear us to trying out their restaurant or hospitality).
“Great location”
The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. We spent the day walking around the plaza, so the bed was especially comfortable to collapse into at night! The pool was refreshing, but small and crowded at times. Parking at the hotel was not a problem.
“Excellent for a Weekend Getaway!”
This historic site hotel is exceedingly clean, comfortable and quiet. Excellent staff. Great location on the Country Club Plaza in KC.
