“Very nice hotel, great location in Kansas City. We really enjoyed our stay.”

We chose this hotel, because it was a great price at a great location, near both to the Plaza and Crown Center. It has a shuttle to both that we really enjoyed, since we didn't have to get the car out and fight the traffic. My family really enjoyed the hotel.

“A great choice”

Good Value. Convenient to Country Club Plaza. The shuttle service to the Plaza was an undexpected bonus. Morning breakfast was decent. An overall good deal.

“Would definitely stay again”

The customer service was great. The room was perfect for us. We brought our little dog and there were no complications with that. I loved that it was only $10 for the pet fee and with us having a pet room, the room was very clean!

“Would definitely recommend”

I was just passing through Kansas City. This was an older hotel but they have made some upgrades where they could. There was a luxurious pillow top mattress that was like sleeping on a cloud!!! The room amenities were nice and the hotel staff was excellent!!! I was traveling with a dog and they made it super easy. Room was a little dark but it was very clean and comfortable! I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

“Just perfect for Country Club area business events.”

For having meetings in the Country Club area of Kansas City, the Best Western just fits the bill. It is less expensive than the other hotels in the area, probably because it is a few blocks away (a healthy walk, and on the fringe of areas that require some care) from the Country Club center, but perfect for business travel.

Area recommendations

Country Club area is terrific, if a bit expensive, for tourism. Lots of the better retailers and better chain restaurants (Restoration Hardware, Ruth's Chris, for example).

“Pretty good, for the price.”

Walk out the front door of the hotel. Go right two blocks, and its definitely NOT the kind of neighborhood you want to walk in after dark. Go left two blocks, and its a really neat area of up-scale shops and excellent restaurants. The rest of the hotel is the same way --- just on the borderline between good and bad.
