“Comfortable and priced right.”

We visited the Plaza for the Christmas Holiday just for one night to see the lights and eat out. We are only 3 hours away, but hoped to find a nearby hotel that was not too pricey yet offered a nice, comfortable room and a breakfast in the morning. This hotel is only a few minutes from the Plaza, Crowne Center and Westport. We received exactly what we hoped AND our check-in clerk upgraded us to a KING room! Nice! We will go back.

“Completely Satisfied”

I went to BWKC and had an excellent night in the hot tub and in my very clean room. Everything was clean (I checked) lol. The tub and towels were clean. I am very satisfied with price and condition. Rashid was the desk clerk and he greeted me with warm welcoming attitude.

“Very Nice. Will stay there again.”

We were trying to find a hotel at Expedia. We were not sure of the area of town we wanted to stay in. We were booking a hotel on Friday night for the weekend which happened to be Labor Day weekend. So we thought we'd have to pay alot for a hotel and it'd be far outside of town. Finally we called the Expedia hotline. The woman who helped us was so helpful. She found a very nice hotel with a reasonable price in a very good part of town. We were just a few minutes from all of our destinations. I was very impressed with the hotel. It was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was very good. We enjoyed the indoor whirlpool!

Area recommendations

Power and Light District was a very neat downtown area. Lots of restaurants and bars. We found a very nice cafe open 24 hours. We had a dessert at midnight.

“Perfect if with patient at KU Med”

I was very pleased with the condition and comfort of the hotel. I really liked that it was so close to KU Med where my brother had surgery. I would recommend they have more info for delivery service for restaurants. I would stay there again if needed.

Area recommendations

The Plaza is always a great place to go. I grew up in Kansas City, so I know there are plenty of places to have a great time in the area.

“A great place!”

Our daughter and son-in-law live just around the corner. There place is too small to stay so we took advantage of this motel. There are three eating establishments right there. Great amenities including a full breakfast! Wow!

“Average Hotel”

Hotel was clean and well maintained. A bit pricey for a Best Western. No bed spread or blanket in room or on bed. Would suggest you request one during check-in or prior to going to your room. Has window air/heating unit below window, very loud and noisy.

The Plaza is great fro shopping and dining. Shops open late, carriage rides available, easy parking and great for just strolling.

“Great breakfast”

Ordinary room, small mini fridge, good tv channels. Hot tub, and an awesome breakfast in the morning. Worth the extra money for the night.

“Good location for KUMC”

Stayed for 3 nights while taking a class at KUMC. Motel staff was pleasant, helpful. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was provided, with omelets, sausage and pancakes available. Close proximity to I-35, and I-70.
