Disappointing
A marquee in front of this motel advertises "all new rooms" but did not apparently include my room which was in a satellite building adjacent to the main hotel. I stayed for three nights and had asked for a room at this building for the convenience of parking right outside my door. The woman who checked me in was pleasant enough but mentioned if I had any problems she would put me in a different room--she mentioned some workmen in an adjacent room. My neighbors were fine but I became aware of an unpleasant smell after being in the room a while. Overnight with the A/C on it seemed to get worse. The next day I decided to open the windows and turn on the fan while I was out--but had to close one due to a large hole in the screen. I wanted to avoid the time-consuming inconvenience of repacking my stuff and moving to a different room--which may have been worse than the one I already had. When I returned the room seemed better but soon enough the smell got stronger--associated with the A/C I think. I tolerated it with the A/C off as much as possible. Otherwise the room was the typical modern Motel 6 spartan arrangement--hard platform bed, minimal furnishings. There was a fridge and microwave, which was nice. The bathroom was a bit shabby, with no towel racks and a sluggish bathtub drain. Wifi was a bit temperamental, perhaps because I was in the satellite building. Overall I was pretty unhappy with my accommodations. The "all new rooms" claim was misleading at best.

The front staff person had the audacity to tell me to not leave the room messy and claimed that there was food everywhere, which was an absolute lie! I will never stay here again and suggest you don't either, oh and remember to leave your room clean!

The bottom of the tub was so slippery we had to put a towel down in tub to take a shower. They posted there would be a hair dryer in room and there wasn't. When asked about it they said " yah we don't ". Then the prices we had locked in was not what we was charged. They added $ 10.00 and said it wasn't their fault. I showed them the paper I printed off the computer that showed all info with the total for the night and they said they wouldn't change it. They said i would have to take it up with Expedia booking because they quoted us wrong..

I stayed in a smoking room but the Bed cover blanket had numerous burn holes all over it. It is great to offer smoking Rooms but please replace the blankets if they get destroyed. Charge an additional fee if it seem to be a problem. Most smokers would gladly pay 10 extra bucks not to go outside to smoke. Shower partially working ( low pressure because bath and shower run at same time) no way to adjust. Bathroom was dirty and needs updating. It was ok for one night but would not recommend for more than that.

Gilman Motel 6
This is a good value if you need a place to sleep. The hotel is clean and close to amenities. It’s an older place but it’s ok. I ask for a room upstairs because around this area it’s a bit humid and musty ( in all places not singling this place out it’s just the geography of the land here) Anyway for a place to get some rest it’s fine. Staff is friendly also

The hotel itself is nice and the staff was very nice. The room we had was simply ok. The bed was uncomfortable, the blankets and sheets had burn holes or marks in them (yes we had a smoking room) the wall in the bathroom was on desperate need of repairs

This Motel 6 was what I expected - not a Hilton but an older structure in a small town - friendly and helpful staff, clean linens, and a safe environment. I got a good night’s sleep, all I was looking for.

My room was next to a door that went somewhere-outside or upstairs-not sure where but the door sounded like a girl screaming every time it opened. I had headphones on listening to my computer the first time I heard it and thought someone was being kidnapped. Then when it happened again it sounded the same and I figured out it was the door. Please lubricate your door! People in hall were very loud until 10:30 or 11 pm and I get up super early. It isn't the hotels fault that guests are noisy but I think some of them may have been owner's family.

While booking on Expedia, we chose to pay at the hotel. Expedia gave us a total price of $65.71. However, when we checked in the hotel charged us $68.00 . We know $3.00 isn't much, but we should not have been charged more than Expedia told us. Also, the room was totally bare bones, with no extras, such as a padded chair, dresser or even carpet. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

If I was in this area longer I would make my whole stay at this location. Lots of food on the same exit. The staff was very friendly.

The worst of the Worst.
If I could define disgusting it would be this motel 6. They say you get what you pay for, not here. Absolutely the worst room I’ve ever stayed in. Dirty, missing covers on electrical outlets, stains on blankets, tub didn’t drain in shower, smoke detector unplugged. The worst of the worst.

The man at the front desk is very friendly and accomodating. The rooms themselves are okay for the price, but definitely need repairs. My room had two lights that didn't work as well as the vanity outlet, and I had to fix the toilet that kept running. I like that the floors are not carpeted and the rooms don't smell musty like so many other hotels.
