Absolutely perfect place. The staff the scenery and the internet are good. Have a minibar with snacks. Food is pretty good and one of my favorite places in thailand.

A very exciting and unique experience!! You are taken to the hotel on a long boat and the entire hotel is floating on pontoons. Rooms are very nice, large, and they each have their own balcony right on the river. The food in the restaurant was very good which is important since there are no other restaurants. You can take the boat back to the dock and visit many places for the day including the bridge over the river Kwai.

We spent two nights at the Floathouse River Kwai. Our room was stunning, and we spent hours on our deck, enjoying the peaceful beauty of the river. From check in to departure, every staff member we encountered was courteous and strove to make our experience memorable. The food in the restaurant was excellent (we ate there 5x). The Floathouse offers many different excursions and activities, but my favorite times were spent just sitting on the deck, enjoying the sunshine and watching the river. The sound of the river moving under our Floathouse was soothing and the bed was super comfortable. For an incredibly unique experience, I highly recommend Floathouse River Kwai.

We stayed two nights at the Floathouse hotel over the river Kwai. It was a great experience overall. The hotel room has appropriate facilities as advertised. There was no pool but you can take a quick walk to the sister hotel Resortel to use the pool there. The environment was very quite and calming. The river Kwai is so beautiful when it rains. A variety of activity can be done but you have to pay additional fees for most of them. The restaurant has a number of menu (both Thai and Western food) and the taste was above average I would say. The staff were friendly and helpful (shoutout to Tony!). All in all, we enjoyed our stay there and would come back when circumstances met.

mattresses are so old and saggy. pillows are too high and thick. If the resort willingly replace new mattresses and softer pillows, it is a great place to get away from the noisy and crowded city on the weekend

Regarding air-conditioner, as standard procedure, our responsible staff would thoroughly inspect and make sure that all electric appliances are in an excellent condition before launching the room. Besides, the major maintenance is regularly performed at our site. Though, after hearing your comment, our technician came to examine all devices one more time. We found that its functionality has been working efficiently. Concerning shampoo, as soon as we heard your perspective, we had our housekeeper get into the room to make thing right immediately. Cool little experience here. Breathtakingly beautiful waking up directly on the river to sunrise each day. Lots of river sounds at night, roosters early in the morning from the local villages. Rooms are cleaned really well. For food the Thai dishes are delicious - recommend the fresh fish! Don’t expect much from the western dishes, which is the same for all of Thailand. Lots of little day trips to do in the local area, or just float down the river.

Amazing place, so beautiful and tranquil. Rooms are spacious and very clean. A great range of activities available through the resort or can take boat to pier and get a cab there. Property has bikes you can use to get around between this and sister resort. Great breakfast buffet, restraunt serving good food and drinks all day.

We were only stopping for 1 night. It was an interesting experience to stay on a floating room on the river. Beautiful surroundings but unfortunately it rained hence not had a chance to kayak or swim. The excellent point for us was the helpful staff who facilitated our shuttling between the 2 hotels as we had relatives staying next door. An unusual stay for anyone who is able-bodied. Definitely not for anyone who has difficulty with mobility.

Wow. Just wow. What a beautiful hotel and wonderful experience. I stayed at jungle raft before which was amazing but this place takes it to the next level. Yes you pay more but the extra is well worth it. Can’t recommend this highly enough

What a fabulous stay. The accommodations are beautiful and comfortable and beyond unique. The location on the river and nestled among the hills is lovely.. My husband’s favorite part of our 2 week trip in Thailand. The staff is so kind and helpful. Breakfast had an excellent selection and the omelette chef was the best - skilled and full of great information about the resort. Jumping in the river and floating down to the end and doing it all over again? So fun. Great evening massage right there on site with the breeze blowing and the night sounds all around. Swimming with the fish? Way cool. We will return and we highly recommend!

The FloatHouse is an experience unlike anything we've had elsewhere. Note that you must get to it by a long tail boat that the hotel provides. From the pier which is well beyond Kanchanaburi the boat ride only takes 10 minutes. Boats leave every half hour and it's free. We loved the place! Our grandkids loved floating from the lobby down to the end of the chain of huts using life vests provided by the hotel. It's a quiet, scenic beautiful setting in the kind of remote place that's getting hard to find in Thailand. It's well situated for a visit to Hell Fire Pass Museum which is itself an amazing "must see" place.

The resort was beautifully designed. I love how the entire resort move every time a boat comes......makes you feel like you are literally floating on water. The activities were expansive so may not be ideal for families. Make sure you arrange transportation ahead of time as the resort charge a lot for transportation. We had to go back to Bangkok airport and it would have cost us 4800 THB one way. Good thing we already had a taxi set up ahead of time to come pick us up for 2500 THB. Overall, this place is a beautiful get away for couples who are looking to literally get away for a couple of days.

ข้อดี 1.ห้องพักอยู่บนทุ่นลอยน้ำที่ออกแบบดี แข็งแรง สวย สะอาด สะดวก สบาย 2.บรรยากาศห้องพัก และสภาพแวดล้อมดี ไม่จำเจ เหมือนไปพักสถานที่พักอื่นๆ เหมาะแก่การพักผ่อนอย่างแท้จริง 3.มีถ้ำละว้าที่มีขนาดกลางๆ อยู่ใกล้ที่พักทำให้สามารถเดินตามป้ายบอกทางไปเที่ยวได้ ข้อเสีย 1.สัญญาน WIFI และมือถือ ไม่ค่อยราบรื่น แต่ก็เข้าใจได้ว่ามาพักกลางป่า เขา และแม่น้ำ ก็ต้องเป็นแบบนี้ 2.โรงแรมไม่มี แปรงสีฟัน ยาสีฟันให้ ต้องเตรียมมาเอง 3.การเดินทางอาจจะลำบาก เพราะต้องนั่งเรือหางยาว แต่ก็ไม่เป็นอุปสรรค เมื่อเทียบกับบรรยากาศกลางธรรมชาติที่สวยงามที่ได้สัมผัส

The property really is unique. The bedrooms are actually floating on the water and you can see it running underneath the floor. The surroundings are beautiful and it's lovely to get away from the world for one or two nights.

Relaxing and romantic
Unique property great for a couple of nights. We had a motorbike so were able to explore the area, as it's very isolated which adds to the experience.
