It was a very good place, location was very naturely and the staff omg. the staff there r so friendly and kind. My dad is a vegeterian and my mom cannot eat spicy stuff for health reasons and we told them that during dinner so the next day they made us dishes that accomodated to our needs rven though yheir dinner is a set menu style

Amazing
We loved our stay! Our kids loved riding the complimentary bikes around the grounds. The natural pool was beautiful and fun. Dinner was excellent! The tents were clean. We will be back!

Friendly staff, but camp needs some improvements.
The camp was really cute and had it's own charms, but there were many little things that could be improved when it came to maintenance. Hooks had loose screws and nozzles kept falling off. The museum wasn't inviting because lights were always off and the gift shop could be reorganized a bit. Ordering drinks or food off schedule at the on site restaurant/bar always seemed to be a bit complicated and not as easy as the website makes it sound, but the staff were really great people and always tried their best to help with what they could. There were many parts of the camp that were beautiful though and the candlelit dinners were fun. Unless you plan on going on the extra tours or getting package deals, it's better for a shorter stay. My wife and I had a pleasant experience overall, but we probably wouldn't go back.

It was a peaceful, clean and beautiful place to stay. The food was delicious, the staff extremely courteous, and the activities that you could partake in, if you wished too, were varied. We did the boat ride to the Mon Village and Lava cave which was very interesting. The natural swimming pool was delightful and refreshing.

It is a nice place to stay and everything is fine. Only the activities and food and drinks there are a bit too expensive.

We were in Thailand for two weeks and this was the best part of our entire trip. We loved the tents, the views of the river, the dinners, and the staff was very helpful.

Glamping in the jungle
This is a pretty cool place to stay. Sadly for us we chose to go in the rainy season which dampened our experience, but can imagine in season this is great place. "Tents" were large with a nice balcony. Inside beds were comfortable with a decent amount of space around. We had 2 tents, one with a bathroom that was half outside and one that was fully enclosed. Showers were good and an experience. As you'd expect from a tent there was a lot of outside noise from the jungle so don't expect to sleep much! But don't let it take away from the experience. The food for dinner was a buffet style and was ok, breakfast similar and ok. Drinks are slightly expensive but not extortionate. Sadly the pool was closed when we were there due to flooding and the worst rain for 20 years! However, they did arrange to take us to one of their sister resorts and use their pool which was a really cool infinity pool next to a lake with a tree top adventure (which we didn't do). a nice touch. We got the train to Namtok then got a taxi to the resort. The journey takes you passed the Hellfire pass entry. We made the mistake of checking into the hotel and then booking hintoks transfer back to hellfire pass which they charge 900 Bht return for which is pretty high for 4Km each way. I would suggest stopping en route to Hintok and doing Hellfire Pass (well worth a visit) and then continuing on.

Very good service from the team. It was raining heavily when we arrived at the resort, someone was already waiting for us with umbrellas. Check in was fast. Natural spring pool was cooling and relaxing but the edge of pool was filled with dead leaves. Could have cleaned it off easily for guests. Dinner and breakfast was good. Quality of bed can be better.

Hotel in a quiet area close to the river
The stay was a lovely experience, very quiet area next to the Kwai river, with a natural pool (about 30 stairs down to reach it next to the river). The garden is pleasant and evening BBQ dinners great. Breakfast adequate with omelette station and a small selection of bread and croissants, and the usual Thai breakfast selection. Tents are clean and equipped with air conditioning units. Hellfire pass is about 8 minutes away by car. Bicycles available for free on-site.

Nicely positioned above the river
Staff were very welcoming and efficient, nicely positioned above the river, grounds are lovely, inviting natural rock pool, breakfast and dinner were excellent, great atmosphere around the fire for the evening barbecue, they cater well for dietary requirements, only negative is that the rooms and other buildings are in need of maintenance, broken lights, timber needs attention, could be fabulous if this was improved overall a pleasant stay but not outstanding.

Nice experience, but expensive.
It was an amazing experience to stay in this hotel. However, the cost of the hotel is quite expensive. Staff was exceptionally helpful and nice. You will need insect repellent while staying there. That kind of price might not worth the stay. You could get better hotels and comfort in kanchanaburi with that price.

Great getaway from Bangkok
PROS: Breakfast and Dinner buffet; Access to nature and the river; Close to national parks and day-trip activities. CONS: I cannot think of one. We loved our stay at the hotel. Next time we will try other hotels in the area that belong to the same management.

Overall ok. Staff supportive and good communication with offices in Bangkok when special requests. Still there is room to improve. Prices of private tours very expensive. Commuting here can be a crazy adventure. Better plan ahead with a car if possible.

Normal check in staff not there and was rudely checked in, nothing was explained, no service provided to see local museum up a hill (take a bicycle). Not what I expected of a supposed luxury (and not cheap) tented camp. The tent itself was old, the various window blinds were ripped off from the covers so others could still see in. No one there to explain the various functions of the tent, which was needed as it is not easy to navigate. The actual evening activity is magical and the waiters were exceptionally kind.

Falling short of expectations
In terms of value for money this hotel was a disappointment: no light in the bathroom; lukewarm water under low pressure from a barely working handle; slow spotty wi-fi often dropped connection; some rest areas were in disarray; several small requests to staff weren't fulfilled adequately. These are all minor annoyances for a budget hotel, but there are certain expectations from a hotel that charges $100/night and attempts to position itself in the upper tier. But there were a few nice things about the Camp: tasty buffet-style dinner, decent breakfast (both included in the price), lovely pool, plenty of mountain bikes, and good photos. There's really nothing to do in the area, unless you splurge for a pricey tour. The amazing Hellfire Pass Museum is too far, on top of a very long steep hill; you have to be in great shape to ride a bike up there (and back). Opt to stay closer if your aim is the Museum (the best museum in the entire country); it costs about 200-400 Baht/pax to fetch a ride to the Camp from the railway station.

Beautiful river location, great food, and helpful staff. The only down side is transportation is a bit difficult for tourists. It is highly over priced. However the whole area is lovely so is worth it if you are not a budget traveler.

Good enough for one visit, but wouldn't go back
The good: mattress was comfortable; view from restaurant deck was pretty; the little pool was refreshing but not big enough to really swim in; it's close to the Hellfire Pass museum. The not-so-good: eating on lawn around bonfire instead of on lovely deck; not enough info given upon arrival, e.g., no info about transport times to local sights and no quiet time guidelines (we had noisy neighbors in a nearby tents our second night; tents are NOT hotel rooms). There are no other places to eat unless you have a car and even then, it'd be a long drive. It should be emphasized that the camp site was an actual POW camp. The history was hidden in the little museum, which we didn't visit until just before we left. (Although maybe it is one the website; I don't remember.) The site is supposed to include a cemetery, but the staff didn't seem to know where it was. One visit was enough for us.

The wife and I booked here to stay three nights. We only stayed two nights and left a night early. The camp is in the middle of nowhere and without transport you are stuck there. We arrived by private car transfer. It is true that the place is in a beautiful location with amazing views over the river. On arrival we were shown to our tent and unpacked. The tent was well worn with the odd rip here and there. We were very disappointed to find that none of the window blinds could be secured. The tent had been stretched to make it taught but this made the window blinds too short. We did not complain at the time as the only solution was to move tent and we were not prepared to pack and unpack again. I also noticed that the metal fan and the metal kettle were not electrically earthed. I realise that wiring standards vary from country to country, but this is potentially dangerous and an electric shock hazard. The place was reasonably clean and the bed very comfortable. WIFI signal was very poor at the tent but did improve towards reception. Food portions were generous, often very tasty but not authentic Thai. Our BBQ on the first night with the American Country music and BBQ pork kebabs was more like the US of A, rather than Thailand. However, it was nice to sit outside around a fire. Second nights evening meal wasn’t as good as the first. I think only 4 tables dined so instead of a buffet, food was brought to each table. At around 8 pm most people had finished dining and a

Lovely setting on the river
We stayed for 2 nights at the hintok river camp. It has a lovely setting at the river. The safari tents are basic but clean. The private bathroom is outside which attracts lots of bugs , what I didn't mind but the children found it a bit creepy. The food at the restaurant is a buffet type and of good quality. We loved swimming in the natural pool , the setting is so beautiful and peaceful. From the camp it's a 5 minutes drive to the hellfire pass and over an hour drive to the Erawan falls. The camp is not easy to find. It is behind the gated entrance to the hellfire pass which closes at 5 and the guys watching over it just sent us in the wrong direction. Overall we had a lovely stay there and would happily go back.

Hintok River Camp
Absolutely stunning - definitely one of our very favorite places during our 18 day travels in Thailand!! The accommodations were unique, clean, and comfortable and the setting was simply amazing. The views, the natural spring-fed pool, the activities, the friendliness of the staff, the delicious food - we really can't say enough good things. The atmosphere was so peaceful and relaxing, the tent cabins, platform swing cots, benches overlooking the river - all made us wish we could stay forever!

テント式の独立したロッジで、エアコンもトイレ、洗面もついていて、虫や蚊に悩むこともなく、非常に快適でした。我が家も一歳児を連れて行きましたが、小さいお子さんを連れた家族も多く、スタッフも親切です。 小さいけれどプールやブランコ、自転車貸し出しもあります。 追加料金でアクティビティもあり、我が家は川下りを楽しみました。都会に疲れたらぜひ訪れたい場所です。
