We sold our house and needed a place to lay our heads for the night. We checked in late, the front desk employee was so friendly and helpful. The room was so quiet, altho the parking lot was full, we never heard a soul. The rates were the best in the area, and a good breakfast in the reception area in the morning We have no complaints at all with this property.
We stayed two nights to break a long drive from Jasper to Whistler and Vancouver. Excellent value (C$109 per night) in a massive, twin bed room overlooking the car park and Rogers Way. The hotel was packed on our first night but you would never have known it. We used the indoor pool and hot tub which we had to ourselves. Julia at reception was very efficient. We didn't try the restaurant but at at the "On the Rocks" sports pub 100 yes away the first night and had a picnic at a free concert in Riverside Park the second. Hotel well situated, high on the hill overlooking the city but only 5 mins drive from downtown.
Kamloops isn't much of a tourist destination but we met loads of ordinary locals. Loads of shopping (if that's your thing) in the malls near the hotel and downtown. It was scorching when we were there so the whole town was outdoors.
I phoned the front manager the day before we left to have the room ready between 2-3pm so my mother can do her peritoneal dialysis. When we arrived that day at 1:45pm the room was ready. I also like they have an elevator for people who can't use the staircase.
On our arrival, we found a problem with our reservation through expedia. With copius amounts of patience and perseverence, the front desk spent over an hour correcting the problem. We are grateful for their help!
Very good staff very helpful the location is good for gas food and of course timmy, s for your coffee
The breakfast is really good at the hotel but please do not eat at the restaurant next door that say, s it is all home made cooking cause mom must be on holiday, s overall I would stay here again and tell my freinds
