The whole stay in this hotel was a delight!
The staff were really friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Giving us advice on local tourist attractions, lending us towels to take to the thermal spa, finding us a knife to use as a screwdriver to fix a pair of glasses, and even putting a little complementary bottle of champagne with glasses in our room to celebrate a birthday!
The hotel was in a really good central location with handy metro and tram links. Easy walking distance to good restaurants and bars.
Hotel room was lovely and very clean throughout. Very comfortable bed, lovely modern room/bathroom, good air conditioning (very hot during our trip!). Hotel was inkeeping with the beautiful Budapest buildings (inside and out).
Only small issue with the room was the metal grate over the shower drain that rattled very loudly (seemingly when another room flushed a toilet or used the shower)...but we quickly realised what this was and the issue was resolved by removing the grate each night. A tiny issue, that was easily resolved!
A wonderful trip, wonderful hotel and will definitely recommend to anyone visiting Budapest!

Would highly recommend wonderful friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. We enjoyed a Superior Double Room on the sixth floor. My husband used the Sauna and Jacuzzi every day of or three day stay. Very convenient to drive to the Hungarian Grand Prix. Excellent choice of breakfast, something for everyone.
This hotel was located very close to the main train station, which was convenient for us as we were only staying the night, awaiting our flight out of the city in the morning. If you want to stay close to anything nice and tourist-friendly, don't stay here. That being said, it is relatively inexpensive and is close to public transport.
When we arrived, the lock was broken on the room we were meant to be in. No one could come to look at the lock for 40 minutes. We were exhausted from our train ride in and desperate to check in anywhere so we asked if there were any other rooms. They showed us a single room which was quite cramped with just enough room for a double bed. We took the room because it was all that was available (and was enough room for us for just one night) and the man working said I could talk to the manager in the morning about being compensated for a switch from a double to a single room.
In the morning, they said there was nothing they could do and I received no compensation for the switch. We had to catch a taxi to the airport so I didn't bother arguing but was rather dissapointed. Had I known there was nothing to do about it, we may have waited for the double room that we paid for.
Overall, the room was clean and the breakfast was nice. At night there was a strange noise that sounded like someone was trying to enter our room which kept us up a bit but otherwise we felt safe enough.
The hotel is in a brilliant location, very close to downtown Budapest. It's in 5 minute walking distance from stations, buses, bars, cafes but the street itself is nice and quiet! The hotel was very nice - clean, well presented and very helpful staff.
The spa was also really nice but unfortunately only open 5pm-10pm which was not advertised when we booked.
Very nice hotel, easy to access, right next to city centre, shopping mall, many stores, super market and metro station. With regards to the support staff, Bettina from the Reception Office was incredibly kind, helpful and gave us a very warm welcome from the lovely city of Budapest!
Jozsefvaros is a predominantly residential area which grew as an inner suburb of Budapest in the 18th and 19th centuries, and retains much of its fine old architecture. Home to several university buildings, plus the National Museum and the Natural History Museum, it has a lively student scene, with plenty of fashionable cafes and bistros, and is currently undergoing rapid gentrification. Every May, the National Museum holds a weekend festival featuring live performances, short film screenings, and folk art displays.
