Stayed here before and after our cruise in San Juan. Close to airport (10 min drive), cruise terminal (5 min drive), Old San Juan (5 min drive) and walking distance to beach. Super nice staff!! They let us store our bags after we checked out and before we checked in on both ends of our trip. One staff member helped us all of carry our group's 10 bags and wouldn't even take a tip! Him and everyone else on the staff on both stays was super friendly. They printed off directions for us as to where we wanted to go, gave us a map (a real map, not a cheap tourist map) to borrow for the day. We had 3 different rooms for our group and each room was unique and overlooked the courtyard and various common areas on the grounds. Lots of small gardens, a nice small pool with a waterfall, benches, planters etc all in a safely enclosed area that is locked from outsiders. There is a nice bar on premise although we didn't use it. We stayed somewhere else a few blocks away from here last year for about the same price and this was WAY better than that and exceeded our expectations. It's not the Marriott, but for the money its super clean and cozy. The rooms are not old or dirty looking and have more of a comfy cottage feel with clean comfortable beds, nice decorations and flat screen TV's with over 100 channels. The rooms we stayed in were pretty good size too. I would highly recommend this place, and we will definitely stay here again on our next cruise out of San Juan.
Dreamcatcher has a wonderful, feel good vibe or energy:
- its welcoming, open hearted feeling by its wonderful staff who gives you a tour of the buildings.
- The fountains, plants, candles, Buddha and Kwan Yin statues, music, welcoming vegetarian kitchen with storage areas in a cabinet and refrigerator by your room number plus pots, pans, oil/spices you can use, dishes, glasses, and filtered water
- snack and drink (wine, champagne, beer, juice, water) areas with very reasonable prices. Mosquito spray also available.
- Free coffee in the morning and free herbal teas available all day.
- the dorm-like (painted cement walls) rooms with eclectic artwork and themes. The fluffy, soft bath towels and generous beach towels
- Two short blocks to the beach (200 steps) with plenty of shady palm trees and sun. Beach vendors selling water or beer or ice cream. No bathroom or place to wash off feet.
First day we were there we arrived early, check in was at 3pm and we had to kill 3 hours. Manny kept us well cocktailed hahaha. 1 hour later Gladys got us in the room. Mateo was a superb bartender, very accommodating. The place is not a big resort is a very cozy place small place. Not a place for kids, but more for couples that will be coming out of the room only for air wink wink. The beach is great at only a few steps. No taxi needed, we walked everywhere! Sure you get sweaty in the heat but that's part of the fun. Best 7 days spent, I can't wait to return.

Enjoyed the stay. This is our 3rd time at this hotel and will consider staying here again. Very well located.
Usually visit the Island for business and coming to the hotel after a hard day of work is very pleasant.
I didn't expect such a nice place for it's category.
I had a coffee machine (with the best PR coffee) in the room. The breakfast was also very good, and it was located on the top floor. Amazing panoramic view :-)
The recepcionist, I met first was super friendly (like anyone else), gave ideas, where and how to go, which beach is the nicest, what's going on in SJ, where to get local food, groceries, etc.
They cleaned the room/bathroom completely- every single day (stayed 5 nights).
Thank you guys, it was my pleasure to stay with you.
