It was a great hotel in the heart of the Kowloon peninsula. It is in the middle of the Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighborhoods, which is close to both MTR stations. It is right on the major roadway, Nathan Road, but it was also close to many shops, mall, local restaurants, etc. which makes it quite convenient.
Excellent location within 100m of Jordan MTR station meaning you can be in Central within 15 mins of leaving your apartment. There is a good selection of shops and restaurants close by. The apartment itself was spacious by Hong Kong standards, with a relatively large living space including good basic kitchenette. The best feature of the apartment were the great bedroom (the bed was unbelievably comfortable) and the bathroom with a waterfall shower with space for about 4 people. One tip for visitors is to ask for a Handy device upon arrival which offers free 3G data service and free local calls whilst staying at the apartments, potentially saving on data roaming charges and having yo buy a tourist SIM (which is relatively cheap in any event).
Minor issues to be aware of:
1) The stairs - you will need to climb three flights of stairs to get to the lift on the first floor (the management office is on the second floor). Only really an issue when you arrive from the airport with baggage but not what you really want after a long flight.
2) Taxis - Taxi drivers struggle to find CHI 314, I would advise you to download the taxi card (available on their website) to your phone before you leave for Hong Kong and show this to your taxi driver. I would advise taking Airport Express from HKIA to Kowloon, then a taxi, upon arrival.
3) Indian street hawkers - they will constantly approach you along Nathan Road offering you suits or fake watches. Avoid at all costs.
Stayed for four night this time. This is my second time to stay. Very nice location for business use. Close to station and easy to find the taxi too. At night, walking distance to small shopping malls, street restaurant, and Street shopping. Also I recommend the congee restaurant in front of the hotel entrance which cost HKD35 per bowl. They do not have English menu but you can just tell Chicken or Fish.
Jordan offers a taste of authentic, working-class life. A multicultural flavor pervades, with many ethnicities calling this district home. Discover an eclectic mix of restaurants, markets, shops, offices, apartments, and hotels. Densely populated, Jordan’s foot and motor traffic is generally busy. Don’t miss Temple Street Night Market and 14-hectare Kowloon Park.
