Great little hotel, a little further out than anticipated but think that may be due to some roadworks happening nearby. Wouldn't recommend staying here if you're looking to be in the busy atmospheric Amsterdam... but we loved it and found it very comfortable, pleasant and lovely.
Great location - lots of shops nearby. Could do with air conditioning as we were on canal level and it was a bit hot during the night as bedroom windows didn't open. Overall - a great place to stay in Amsterdam. Great coffee maker. We took extra nespresso capsules with us!
good transport links into city (bus/ tram). supermarket in walking distance. Great living space with all mod cons. there was one less bed that the booking said but the sofa was big enough to sleep on. Be aware that there is no manned reception and we couldn't contact anyone on the number given which meant waiting in the street for an hour so phone/ email in advance if you can to arrange an exact arrival time. When the employee arrived to let us in, he asked for a 500 euro deposit which I hadn't known about. I refused to give my credit card details to a third party and he seemed OK with that and it wasn't mentioned again. Once we were though- it was great :)
Great location and walking distance to center of Amsterdam. Rooms are small but the bathroom was quite modern - recently redone. Our only complaints were the twin bed sizes (29 inches across - we measured) and the street noise (can't be helped as this is a very vibrant city at all hours). Staff were professional and kind (helped us with our luggage), but mostly occupied with the running of the restaurant on the main floor.
This hotel is in a great location. 15 mins walk to the main "loud" bits of Amsterdam but not to close that you can't get any sleep.
The rooms are very small but perfectly formed.... Good WIFI and the staff are first rate. Even remembered my wife's birthday.
A great place to say.
Leafy and quiet, Jordaan (pronounced 'your-darn') is Amsterdam's most fashionable village area. Old warehouses have been converted to chic apartments and some of the city's prettiest canals are lined with houseboats, charming 'brown cafes' and classy restaurants. Don't miss a stroll along the Egelantiersgracht and Brouwersgracht canals. Prinsengracht, home to the Anne Frank Museum, also boast delightful 'hidden' hofjes (almshouses).
