Terrible hotel, not honoring my prepaid
I booked and prepaid for this hotel months ago, but when I got to the hotel, they claimed they didn't have my reservation, claiming they don't deal with EXPEDIA or hotels.com, What? I think they are lying so they can charge me higher rates. I had to pay them even though I already paid hotels.com already. Terrible staff, very rude.

Officially the dirtiest and scariest hotel I've been to. I just needed a quick last minute hotel so i picked the cheapest one. I just wanted a shower and sleep after being on the road all day. I've always trusted hotels i book on expedia. Well you get what you pay for. It was so dirty and smelly. Ive even stayed in 3rd world countries. I Couldn't find a remote for the t.v. there was even spit and hair in the bathroom sink. I ended up leaving after 20 minutes.

Never again.
It was filthy, so much so that I slept with my boots on on top of the bedding, then threw away my personal pillows i used instead of the ones provided. Roaches. It was utterly horrid.

VERY dirty and poor service. Front office was unwilling to assist in any of the issues we had during our stay. We were supposed to stay 3 nights but checked out early after only one night and found a nicer place in Joplin for not much more money. Will never stay here again

The worst experience ever
This is the worst place ever. So I booked for my wife. While she was sleeping, she felt an itch. And when she turned the light on and check the blanket, she found like three bed bugs. This was like 2:30 in the morning. She did not want to sleep in that room, she asked for a new room. When she checked the bed in a new room just to be sure, under the blanket, she found dead bed bugs and some human hairs.

Worst experience!! There could not be anything worst about this motel. The entire time throughout the check in process, the front lady was on her phone and completely ignored me. We finally get to our room, and the conditions were DEPLORABLE!! The air was filled with fruit flies. There was what appeared to be URINE stains on the pillow. The blankets had MALE BODILY FLUIDS on them. Hairs on the bedding. We didn’t even check the bathroom. My wife is pregnant so we went to the front desk. When we got there, we ask if there is another room. The lady said no. When she said this we let her know that we needed a refund. Due to the conditions of the room. As I said this, I was pulling my phone out to show her the phots we took, and before I could finish my statement she walked away. She grabbed paperwork without saying a word to me. I was a little alarmed and asked if she would listen to what was wrong and If she could look at the photos. She blatantly said NO! The refund process through Expedia was EXCELLENT!! Will continue to use Expedia.

When I tried to check in there was no one available. I tried knocking (nd pounding) on the counter. I tried calling out and yelling for someone to respond. I even tried calling the phone number and no one answered. Finally about 10 minutes later someone showed up. The room had a bad smell and the bed spread was covered in small holes. There was no phone in the room. I had come to town for a wedding and when my friends asked when I was staying they told me they would not let me stay there beause it was known as the drug motel in Joplin. Needless to say, after the wedding, I went back and retrieved my items and went and stayed with a friend who refused to let me stay at the motel.

At first the room appeard to be clean until you actually walk in, shut the door and turn on the lights. A little closer look and you can tell the housekeepers dont soend enough time on the rooms. The bed was made up nicely but had old food crusted on it and dont get me started on the sheets. Gross !! Countertops were halfway clean some had food stuck to em. Toilet was not clean. Floors looked as if they hadnt been swept or mopped in weeks. The bottoms of my socks looked as if id been walking on hot asphault all day.id give this place a negative 1

There were bugs in the beds. Place was filthy. Bedspreads and sheets looked like someone had walked on them with very dirty shoes. I have seen cleaner bathroom's in run down gas stations you need to get a key to go into.

Worst Motel6 I ve ever been!
The worst hotel I have ever been in the states. The room I got was so dirty, nails on the bed, smokes ashes on the floor for non smoking room, rotten bathroom curtain, dirty dining table with chewing gum, crickets everywhere at night! I will not go for it!

Absolutely ridiculous
There is not even space here to describe the conditions of the room my husband and i were given...and there was drugs on the floor and a broken drug pipe in the room on the bed!!! Poop was on the walls in the bathroom, there were no batteries in the tv remote, and the office lady said "sorry no batteries buy some" we had to connect the tv ourselves, the beds were broken and there was blood on the ac unit and random spots on the wall....the toilet wouldnt flush, the doors open without a key and sometimes wont open WITH the key....worst experience of my life.

Most disgusting place I’ve ever been!! This is the worst experience I’ve ever encountered. In the FIRST room I was checked into the sheets were dirty on both beds with bugs and particles from someone’s prior stay. Top covering blanket has stains on them.. I went and asked for another room and sorry I did.. upon opening the room door baby cockroaches ran across the wooden floor scattering. There were bugs everywhere in this room I didn’t even walk past the beds I had seen enough. Honestly with this Motel 6, they leave the light on I believe to keep from the bugs taking over the whole room. Staying here the guest should charge hotel a pet fee!! I do not see how the health dept allows this place to even be open. Covid 19 is least of a concern at this place. Now I’m battling to get my money refunded. I had to come there to Joplin for doctor appt. for cancer treatment so sadly this is the last thing I have needed to deal with. I’m hoping to be able to see a refund this week as I had to pay for another room after refusing to stay in this one. Was told 48 hours for refund now being told they can’t get ahold of right person to authorize refund.

The place was nasty!!! Smoke detector was yanked out, molded food under beds, blood stains on walls, dirty nasty stained sheets, beds smelled of dog piss. Criminal element on the property. This was a waste of money!!!! The streets were cleaner then the room, also the inside door wasn't locked. I myself want a refund but obviously not going to get it, DONT STAY HERE PAY MORE FOR A BETTER ROOM ELSEWHERE

The motel 6 was disgusting ... the room smelled like smoke ... the sheets were dirty and stained .. the ac vent had mold .. the shower had hair on the walls... it was just nasty.. I use a cpap machine at night and it now blows smoke smelling air.. so now I have to get it cleaned ... ugh if I was motel 6 I would be ashamed to have my name associated with this motel ..

The floor was so dirty it made you’re feet black. The people in the room next to me was supper loud. There was only one Pillow and when we asked for another pillow they said they didn’t have any.

The room was filthy. Sink and shower weren’t clean, the floors weren’t swept and mopped. When room service came they only gave new towels nothing else. Very disappointing!

I booked a non smoking room. When I went to the room it was a smoking room. I then went to the front desk and asked for a non smoking room. The attendant said she could not change the room because I booked online. Nor would she give me a refund. I had to book at another hotel.

There was a stain that could have been ketchup or blood on the light switch by the door; there was obvious food debris on the upper left inside of the entry door; there was a disgusting used cotton ball adhering to the bathroom wall no where near a trash can; the clothes caddy was deteriorating at the bottom of the cabinet as if it were rotting in place; there was mold between the tiles in the shower; there were multiple burn holes in the covers of both beds; the room smelled as if the floor had been mopped with sour water; the curtain was torn. This place truly sucked.

No Frills is an Understatement
This was by far the most miserable night I've had since I can't even remember when. I really didn't expect much for the price and the "no frills" billing of this hotel. It wasn't extremely clean, the towels were thread bare (although I suppose that's good for exfoliation). The curtains don't block out enough light. Apparently revving your engines and racing from light to light is the new Joplin pastime. There was no insulation from the street noise. I don't even know how many times I woke up during the night. Now there is another building further back from the street. Perhaps that one is quieter. I'll never know because I have no intention on EVER staying here again. Oh, and the signal for the sattelite TV was very weak. Hard to get a good picture on some stations. On the other hand, the wifi worked great and they did have an ice machine.

Housekeeping walked in before checkout time, while we were still in bed, although I called to them not to come in. They heard me. Then they told us to leave, and walked out leaving the door open. It was near checkout time but we get ready fast. This was inexcusable.

I guess you get what you pay for. Room was just nasty. cigarette burns on comforter. Towels were so dingy they were almost yellow and to top it off.... Paid for queen size bed, got full. Could not stay.

BEDBUGS. FILTH. UNCARING
During this unique Covid time; it is essential to be able to trust brands and their standards of cleanliness whilst on the move. THIS Motel 6 does not offer any standard or trust. The room was dirty with fingerprints on walls, dirt on doors and stains on the smelly sheets and blankets. Most horrifically though, is the infestation of BEDBUGS in the room. We vacated the room and the uncaring graveyard receptionist could not care less and was unsurprised by the BEDBUGS report. If you have any concerns about rooms being correctly sanitized or for that matter clean sheets and bug-free rooms...PlEASE STAY AWAY!!

Not happy with my stay
The hotel is NOT clean! Shower was disgusting and there was a dead roach in the bathroom! I was scared I might even get bedbugs. I wont stay at another Motel 6 again if this is how they are kept.
