“Honey Moon Comfort”

We visited South Africa for the honey moon, and wanted to stay near Sandton, near the Mandela Square, near the rail road to the airport and walking distance to great hangouts including shopping center. We had a modest budget. Sandton III is the place to be. Dont think twice about it. Just go for it if you have a choice.

“We would go again.”

We chose this hotel for the fact that it has 2 bedroom suites and the fact that we have 2 children, 5 and 7, rather than a standard hotel being crammed into one room or having to get 2. The hotel is a bit dated, but clean, and the bathrooms were very grotty and definitely need updating. That said the rest of the appartment was fine, with a well equipped and clean kitchen. On our first morning we didn't do the washing up as we had not had a chance to buy washing up liquid. On our return that afternoon the washing hads been done and put away by the cleaner! The location of the hotel is great for santon restaurants and activities such as lion, crocodile and elephant parks. Bit far for Sun City and Pilanisburg. The staff were great. Couldn't fault them. friendly, great with the children and always helpful. we didn't try the hotel breakfast as we cooked our own, thou it seemed reasonably priced. Would certainly go back if we go to Jo'burg again.

“Don Sandton-Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa”

You can take a train from J'Berg Airport to this hotel. Within walking distance are some great restaurants and Nelson Mandela Square. The hotel has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a LR and a Kitchen. It is convenient. There were a few areas that needed repair and the pool was being drained during our stay. It is not elegant but was comfortable. You are about 30 minutes to the downtown area as Sandton is a smaller section of the city, but a nice one.

“Dated decor but comfortable and friendly”

This is an older hotel but it was great to have a kitchenette and the rooms were comfortable. Close to the shopping options in Sandton, although not right in the center of it all. Very satisfied, for the price. But don't expect a fancy, modern hotel!

“Good help and great staff”

This hotel staff members were extremely helpful and courteous. Will stay there anytime. Would also recommended to others because it's very close to Sandton shopping centre and business district. Will done Don 111.

“Wonderful value in Sandton”

Don Santon 3 is a great value hotel. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment and found it to be very comfortable and clean, the location is great, looking over Mushroom Park, we would have a nice stroll each morning. Just a few minutes walk from the Village Walk Shopping centre and a few more to the large Santon City Mall. The area is very safe. The oustanding feature of this hotel is the friendliness of the staff, a special thank you to Porche and Maria.

“Very roomy and convenient”

The hotel does not have "Don Sandton" on the outside and the driveway is sort of hidden and behind a huge automatic gate. The access is difficult because you have to wait for the gate to be opened while holding up traffic on the main road. We got a 2 bedroom with a balcony and newly renovated kitchen. it was incredibly roomy and comfortable, but the bathrooms could use an update. The second bathroom has no shower only a bathtub and the furnishings in the living areas look a bit tired. Overall it was a great value for money and very convenient to the shopping areas and convention centre.

“Nice apartment”

Sandton is a good safe base to explore Johannesburg. Nice apartment and v comfortable. Took us about 45 mins to drive to the airport which is clearly sigposted.

“BIG ROOMS”

I STAYED AT THE DON SANDTON III ON MY LATEST TRIP TO JOHANNESBURG, IT IS AN ALL SUITES HOTEL WITH LARGE ROOMS AND IS COMFORTABLE EVEN FOR LONG STAYS AS THE TARIFFS ARE MODERATE. THEY SERVE GOOD BREAKFAST AIRPORT IS A HALF HOUR TRIP AND IT COSTS AROUND 300 RANDS FOR 2 PEOPLE. PRETORIA AND JOHANNESBURG ARE ALSO HALF AN HOUR AWAY. ALL THE LEADING HOTELS OF THE AREA ARE IN SANDTON AND HENCE NEARBY.SANDTON IS THE MAIN BUSINESS HUB OF JOHANNESBURG AND PRETORIA. PLEASE BE AWARE THEIR ARE FOUR DIFFERENT DON SANDTON HOTELS IN THE SAME AREA AND TRY AND PICK DON SANDTON III. I WILL SUGGEST IT FOR BOTH FAMILY HOLIDAYS AND BUSINESS TRAVELLERS
