The Front Desk Staff was exceptional, check-in easy and every inquiry of ours was thoroughly answered. Rooms were very quiet. Beds comfortable and bathrooms very clean. The hotel food was a little boring but clean and fresh. Restaurant wait staff was good, but not great. The bar staff whether serving inside or outside on lawns was super slow--like they had amnesia.
The hotel is not near the historic part of town, it is on the outskirts. The plus side of that is the cleanliness and quiet. The downside of that is the transportation required. However front desk did a great job of arranging transport.

The Taj is a very well priced Western style hotel within the city of Jodhpur. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. They have a beautiful pool along with an attentive group of staff members who provide cold towels and frozen fruit kababs. The spa services are basic but effective.

This hotel is brand new and they did a great job. It is very clean and the staff is very helpfull. The only problem is the noise for the airplane runway next door. To be honest, the first time it went off, we were a bit scared but after a short while it was kind of cool for me...not so to my wife. But the noise stopped around 22h30 and started back around 8h00. So, that being said, we had a real pleasant stay and slepped like babies in the confortable room. Also, the breakfast was really good.
For the price we paid, witch was 2,940 rupees, included breakfast and wifi, I would recomand to anyone.
I arrived in Jodhpur at 9pm after 7 hrs travelling in a bus without AC, tired and feeling dirty, so what a good surprise I had when I saw the Kothi Heritage! It really cheered me up! I was charmed by the beautiful architecture and the decoration of the house, and I was very well welcomed by the owner of the hotel.
The staff was extremely friendly, the only problem being that the waiters are not all proficient in English, so sometimes they were staring at me because they obviously did not understand what I was saying...!
Overall I had an excellent time at the hotel and I can only warmly recommend it!
Hotel is nice and well maintained. Overall very clean. Restaurant is ousourced and not up to same standard. Breakfast chioce very limited.
I would not recommend this hotel for travellers, since it is far outside the city in a military area hardly known by locals. It requires a taxi to go there, which is also difficult to find in Jodphur when arriving first time (only tuk tuk available).
Location might be ok, if for business reasons.
The garden is amazing. You wake up to the sound of peacocks and birds. The rooms are beautifully decorated and have a very special feel.. they used to be horse stables!! It does not get more boutique than that!
The ambience, the decor are nice; the charm of staying in a old haveli is also good; but the service, the cleanliness of the bathrooms and overall upkeep can be better. The staff were quite friendly and try their best and overall we didn't have any unpleasant experience.
