This stupid policy of Hotels.com must change
I tried my best to cancel the booking but couldn't. The hotel location is such that even a taxi cannot reach it. The Hotels.com still deducted full charge, despite of nog even checking in and using the facility. I paid INR 25,000 for nothing. This is totally unacceptable and unfair.

About cancellation of booking, guest gave the false statement because cancellation facility is very easy and it’s simply done within seconds by clicking on “Cancel” button of Hotels.com site. Jee Ri Haveli is located at old city of Jodhpur and received good ratings and review for its location. The charm of any city its old historical part due to their ancient construction. Taxis as well as tempo travelers can move in this area and parking facility is also available. Maybe driver of guest misguide them about our location and took away the guest in different hotel for his commission. Guest had to inform us about their check-in or inconvenience about anything but we didn’t receive any information about guest. In a fit of anger, guest gave a false statement that he paid INR 25000/-. But as per policy of " No Show" charged only INR 12000/- as Room rent of 2 Rooms for 3 Days. In short, guest has no rights to leave a review on Hotels.com or about Jee Ri Haveli despite they didn’t show in the Hotel without any single information.

Very friendly host and a great place to stay
I arrived at about 6am and fortunately they let me check in early without extra charge for the following evening! The host helped me with getting a bus ticket, too. My room had a nice view of the fort. Hot water worked well. Wifi actually worked IN the room, which was claimed but hadn't worked at the last couple places I stayed at.

Fantastic time in Jodhpur
Couldn’t ask for a better stay. Great people and friendly staff. If we wanted anything they went out of their way to try to accommodate. We would stay here again in a heart beat. No complaints or concerns whatever.

Nice location and friendly people but some flaws
Good place to stay but expensive for what it is. Internet does not work at this place so beware! Also found a lot of dust and strands of hair on the blankets. Owner is very welcoming.

Good hotel and co-operative owner and staff.
We stayed 3 days. The hotel is good and cozy. The owner is very co-operative. They guided about the city on our arrival and provided every help that we asked for. Will recommend it!

Experience at Ji ri Haveli
We were not properly advised by Hotels .com . we were disappointed by the poor hotel frontage - it was located in a shabby neighbourhood. The hotel manager informed us that the cook had taken leave - so the quality of the food was very poor. The only redeeming feature was the polite behaviour of the hotel owner - he tried his best to make us feel comfortable.The rooftop hotel offered a good panoramic view of the nearby mehrangarh fort. Not advised for family stay - recommended for young people who do not mind a little discomfort in exchange of the good rooftop panoramic view.

Worst hotel in Jodhpur. 1. No hot water - We requested hot water three times. They repeatedly claimed they have turned it on, but was of no good. We were forced to take bath in cold water in this winter. 2. Worst food offered - Dont ever order food here. Worst food. Salted indian side dish. Requested lassi, got a salted butter milk and was later replaced by a sweet butter milk. 3.The hotel itself is in absolute filthy neighborhood. The hospitality was good, but that doesnt negate the drawbacks mentioned above. You can all together remove jodhpur from ur travel plans except for the main fort.

A homely hotel in old Jodhpur town
The hotel is in the old city and our driver had difficulty finding it. Access is up a flight of stairs. The room was big, was clean and comfortable, and had a view of the impressive Meherangarh Fort. The cost of being in the old town, with its atmosphere, is a degree of noise; we accepted this trade-off. The rooftop area has a great view. The restaurant food served was tasty and I thought was as good as a more high profile restaurant down the road. The owners (it's a family business) were very nice, most helpful, and accurate in their advice. The lads manning the restaurant made up for their under-training by being willing to go out of their way to make you happy.

Not a nice location for tourists
The hotel is not at nice location and it is really overpriced compared to facility provided. The rooms are clean. However the quality of linen and comfort factor is very poor. The name and the way it is marketed like a old haveli is a mis representation as it doesn't look like any haveli. It is a 3 storey new construction in a congested place. The hotel staff is very un professional and the location and surrounding is unpleasant.

We found the owner to be a pleasant man and the location of this hotel very good in relation to the Sardar Market and old city. However, the hotel is dated, food nothing special and cleanliness a concern. The staff were eager to help, perhaps a little too much. We also found the market to be a dirty, smelly place, worse than elements of Mumbai, and were hassled a lot.

Good Hotell
The Hotell has a decent location and nice standars. The two best things about this Hotel is its view from the Restaurant Roof and the Friendly staff. This is a family Hotel and they were very helpfull and made our stay really nice. I would recomend this Hotel to traveler who wants to visit Jodhphur

Jee Ri Haveli - convenient hotel to stay
The hotel is conveniently located near the market in Jodhpur, only a five minutes walk, passing loads of cows, buzzing tuk-tuks and open sewery. The owner and his family are quite nice and helpfull, the roof top restaurant is also quite nice and offers good food. Overall we would stay again at this hotel.

This accommodation is close to the clock tower and market. It is a auto-rickshaw ride from the Fort. It is off the thoroughfare and up some stairs. 'Hotel' is a rather grand term for a series of rooms off a central stairway. 'Guesthouse' is more appropriate. it is dark with the reception and at least one of the rooms on the lower floor that I saw receiving no natural light. There is a rooftop with a good view of the Fort and the water tanks. They serve food there, apparently but I didn't stay to eat. The older gentlemen, the owner I think, who greeted me was friendly but had appalling English. However, he seemed keen to make sure I was comfortable, give me the code for the free WiFi etc. The WiFi is slow but free. Room was basic but clean. Bathroom area was rather run down but adequate. All in all satisfactory but not what I was expecting given the previously great reviews on this site and the price.

Well located budget option in old town Jaipur, but room for improvement.
We had the perhaps the best room in the house, top floor with a modern AC unit. The room was fairly compact but no major complaints. The bathroom however was not cleaned properly (filthy shelves and toothpaste splatter all over the mirror from previous guests. This standard of cleanliness may be the norm for most Indians but it is just not acceptable to westerners. $40 is a lot to pay to get a dirty bathroom in any country. The manager was very friendly and helpful chap, however the restaurant and excursions he offered were vastly overpriced for the class of hotel. Hygiene in the restaurant was also suspect after being served beer in a dirty glass and being handed a menu covered in old food debris. So we did not eat there. The rooftop restaurant has fantastic views over the Sagar and the Fort, such a pity it was not more appealing to eat there. In the end we found a more up-market and clean restaurant at RP Hotel under the fort with a much cheaper menu (e.g. beer 100 not 170Rs and served in a clean glass!). It seems many restaurant owners are trying to profiteer from tourists by asking overinflated prices for food and drink. The Pal Haveli restaurant (opposite Jee Ri Haveli) was another such place – very expensive mediocre food. The Indian government charges foreigners 10-20x more than Indians on admission to the monuments, clearly business owners are following this example! The Jee Ri Haveli was not the worst choice around but a lot of improvement is needed before I could recommend to others at near $40pn

- Very friendly staff - Prompt service & happy to arrange auto rickshaws that were not overpriced - Excellent bedroom terrace and roof balcony with views of the Fort, Clock Tower & Jaswant Thanda - Tasty dinner and breakfast - Clock Tower less than 5 mins away Overall, I would highly recommend the hotel. They deserve every success

Jee Ri Haveli - located in old town
The hotel was difficult to find as there are 4 or 5 hotels all with 'Haveli' in the name all near the clock tower. Once inside the hotels is full of charm. We had a great room overlooking a man made lake (which was full of rubbish) and there is a spectacular roof top view over the city up to the fort and the palace. The hotel owner's son helped us arrange train tickets that we had not been able to get - but at a price! We booked a room for a family of 4 and got 2 single beds pushed together. We asked for an extra bed - but again this ended up costing us another 600 rupees. You couldnt help feel that you were being fleeced albeit by a very charming and helpful man. Well worth a stay if only for the views and the location.

A real taste of India
First the cons: The hotel is in the bustling heart of the town so is noisy and being a Haveli with a rooftop restaurant and no lifts is not suitable for children. Now the cons: Its in the bustling heart of the town so you really get a great taste of the real india. The rooftop restaurant is a superb setting and the member of the family who prepared the meals is a superb cook. But do let her know your needs in advance so she can source them fresh from the market. The rooms were clean and very pleasant. The pick up at the airport was excellent , its arranged free but costs about £3. The owner and family could not be more pleasant or helpful. We needed a good driver and car to go with us to Jaisalmeer and stay with us for several days and we could not have been more satisfied with the driver and vehicle. Similarly with the trip he arranged to nearby villages (but dont forget if you are tall to ask for a jeep with good headroom). A great experience and one we will not forget.

Jee Ri Hotel in Jodhpur - great view good location
The hotel has a spectacular view of the Mehrangarh Fort and within walking distance to Clock Tower and market. Since it is near the market and being an old building, one cannot expect the room to be big or with modern facilities. With only one night stay, the power outage occurred 3-4 times. Luckily it was winter time and I have my handphone as emergy torch light. The hotel is a guest house with owner's family staying in the same building. The family is very hospitable and nice. If you are only aiming for night rest and out most of the time, this is a good choice to stay. It was great for me because I can take pictures of the fort and market.

A modest but very friendly little
A modest but very friendly little haveli near the clock tower and main market. The best feature is the rooftop café/restaurant which offers what must be the best view in town of the spectacular old fort (unfortunately for us, we were there in January when temperatures are not so favourable for rooftop dinner). All in all, I would recommend this hotel - particularly outside of the winter period.

Wow, what a view!
The rooms are very basic, functional. But they are clean and well kept. My room (deluxe) did not have TV, but the owner tells me they have TV's in some rooms and are adding them to all. I did not miss the TV, returning to bed around 10.30 and then slept. Breakfast on the roof terrace, with the sun beating on your face (or shaded table if you prefer) and great views of the major sights. What a way to wake up. Trust me, this view is why you stay here. The service is excellent, smiles and fast. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. The location is very centre and the staff arrange anything you want for tours (at the usual premium). As with all of India, ask the questions to ensure you get what you want (air conditioned car etc). I had come from 5 star sameness to this unique guest house and was happier here. I will return again. You don't get luxury, comfort is homely. Checkout was fast (only delayed because we chatted over a cup of tea). The host tells me most of his business comes from Expedia, so I guess we are all independent travellers. That is good, keep this place a secret! You can find cheaper, but why bother! If your budget wont stretch to staying the night, visit the terrace and ask to eat here - the food is home cooked to order. The last words are left to a couple who arrived in the morning of my second day. As they walked on to the terrace, they turned to the host and said "we will stay two nights not just the one."

The owner of this tucked-away haveli across from Gulab Sagar was very helpful. He arranged reasonably-priced sightseeing trips, and made sure we had what we needed. The room itself was quirky in a good way, and had great views over the lake (such as it was) and the fort. Good hot water. It was a bit cramped with four of us in one room but it was fine. The rooftop restaurant was a tad pricey but very tasty, and the view of the fort by candlelight was stunning. The location is not bad, near the market under the clock tower, though it's still a rickshaw ride up to the fort. Overall a very pleasant stay for a quite reasonable price, this was one of our favorite hotels in our 6-week India trip.

We arrived early one morning,
We arrived early one morning, well before check in time but was greeted by the owner and immediately shown up to our room. The room was typical haveli style with a wonderful window seat looking out on to one of the best hotel room views we have ever experienced. From our balcony we had an uninterrupted vista of the lake with the Meherangarh Fort in the background. The room and bathroom was very clean and the meals, enjoyed on the roof terrace were excellent. One night we suggested that we would like a Thali, which was off the menu. The owner (a trained chef) was happy to discuss with us what we would like and presented us with one of the best meals we had during our visit to India. Highly recommended.

There is no swimming pool
Your hotel description says there is a swimming pool (piscine) at this hotel this is totally incorrect. The hotel overlooks a small totally algae covered basin which even the local animals would not visit. The hotel people were very kind and the views of the castle are superb. The dinner and breakfasts we had were very good. The hotel could use some updating esoecially the air conditioning which was too noisy and had to be turned off so we could sleep.

No nos quedamos en el hotel, ya que la habitación que tenia que tener vista al fuerte daba a unas aguas estancadas llenas de basura.Lla habitacion inicial que nos quisieron dar era pequeña y no la que reservamos. El hotel no estaba representado por las fotos subidas y la contestacion de la mujer de la recepción frente a nuestra queja fue, lady this is India. Horrible

Grunnet uforutsette hendelser endte det med et opphold på 14 dager. Veldig vennlig og familie drevet hotell. Maten var ikke alltid det beste og vannet var heller ikke alltid varmt på vinters tiden, men da fikk vi en stor bøtte med varmt vann. Fikk også varme dyner og varm ovn på rommet. Romslig rom med balkong. Veldig fint utsikt fra tak restauranten. Dessverre er beliggenheten slik at man ser den virkelige India med kuer, geiter, hestekjerrer, avføring og fattigdom rett utenfor gjestehuset. Hvis man ser bort fra dette, så er hotellet til å anbefale spesielt på grunn av gjestefriheten

Super Hotel!
Das Hotel ist sehr zentral nur wenige Minuten vom Clocktower entfernt gelegen. Es hat ein wunderschoenes eigenes Dachrestaurant mit super Ausblick auf das Mehranga Fort. Aber das beste sind Eigentuemer. Sie sind super freundlich und lesen einem jeden Wunsch von den Lippen ab. Kann man nur weiterempfehlen das Hotel.

keine Luxusherberge, aber sauber und freundlich
Dies ist sicher keine Luxusherberge, die Dusche ist einfach im Klo an der wand genagelt und wenn man duscht setzt man das ganze Bad unter wasser. Die Zimmer sind auch sehr klein und das Bett nicht das beste. ABER: Eine sehr schöne Dachterasse, günstige Preise, sehr sehr gutes Essen und eine überaus freundliche Familie. Ich war wirklich zufrieden mit dem Besuch und würde es auch wieder buchen.

Très bien situé; terrasse avec belle vue sur le fort. Bonne cuisine à un prix raisonnable. Serviettes changées tous les jours et chambre faite également tous les jours. Très bon rapport qualité prix.
