“Past it prime”
Small room. The only chair was uncomfortable, not upholstered, "kitchen table style". Good location for easy access to government buildings. And close to new light rail street car station so easy access to the center city. This hotel is clearly past its prime. Carpets in the dining room and my room looked dingy. Bus loads of tourists overwhelmed the elevators each morning.
“Good price for a good sleep”
Park is reasonably priced and quite comfortable. The central bus station is about 15-20 mins walk, and Egged buses travel to most corners of Israel, at a reasonable cost in a very expensive country. Bus 99 gives a pricey but good 2-hour tour of Jerusalem. Pick up opposite bus station. Hotel is close to very good Israel Museum and the NOT TO BE MISSED Shrine of the Book (Dead Sea Scrolls) taxi about $10 each way depend on traffic and Shabbat of course. One glaring fault is internet (signal low and intermittent). Reception had some ridiculous excuses (probably plenty practice): "Lot 'students'/'Greeks' in hotel, 'will send tech' (never happened). Theatrics one day when all electronics failed and checking out people wanted to pay by card. Taxi to Old City history sites easy except in peak traffic.
“Modest but kind service”
Room staff is very polite and kind. The breakfast could be improved and the swiming pool is missing but the hotel is well positionned in the city.
“Good value for money”
The hotel was exactly what we expected considering the price. Location is even better than expected. The only thing that surprised - total absense of things like shampoo and stuff. Not a big problem thougf
“never stay there again not impressed”
hotel offers wifi in the rooms. First 3 days notwifi in room. I complained to desk the blond girl on duty and she said she would take care of it, she said it was fixed, it was not, 2nd day I came into the hotel and I saw her she deliberately ran inot the office when She figured I did not see her, but I did. I asked for her she gave another story. She also did this on the third day. She did not like to give good customer service. I asked compensation, something like an extra day at the hotel or a dinner, she said she would ask. I believe she never asked, never wanted to do anything to address the issue. I hope she reads this. I had asked to speak to someone else in charge and she ignored that and never gave me an opportunity work out the problem. On the third day still no wifi in the room. The blond was very good at putting me off. I do not consider this to be good customer service at all. On the 4th day I finally got wifi, the excuse she used for the reason that I did not get wifi in the rooms is because there was a party of Germans in the hotel and I able to get the wifi only after they left. Now if you could explain that excuse I would really love to hear why Germans would prevent me from getting wifi in my room. That left me very dry. So if customer service or wifi is Important to you DON’T USE THIS HOTEL they will not serve you and try and not deal with the issue at hand.
“I recommend the Park hotel, Jerusalem”
I'm delighted I chose the Park Hotel. The room was spacious & comfortable (though the bathroom was a little cramped - how long does one spend in the bathroom!), the staff friendly & helpful and breakfast was more than ample to get me through the day. The location is ideal for budget travellers who want to get about. as the Jerusalem Central Bus Station is a 10 minute walk away. I will definitely stay there again and would recommend it to others. For the price, the value was exceptional.
“Great price for the location”
We were comfortable in the room and very happy that we could have a central location at that affordable price.
“Jerusalem Park Hotel is tired but clean and good value”
Jerusalem Park Hotel: stayed in July 2010. Service in this hotel was very good. The decor was desperately in need of refurbishment but the room was basic with everything functional. The breakfast and dinner were buffet style and the food was excellent. The hotel is outside the centre on a street with a motorway, a few hotels and nothing much else. A taxi to downtown costs between 35 and 50 Shekels depending on time of day.
“Good, reasonable rates”
The accommodations were good except the third cot, which had a mattress too thin. There was some mildew buildup in grout of the bath/shower, but otherwise everything was very good and the staff was most congenial and helpful. The location is very good with easy access to the Old City as well as other sites of interest such as the Israel Museum and the Bible Lands Museum. Access to the major road toward Tel Aviv was easy to access as well.
“magic in jerusalem”
people at front desk were very servicial. the hotel was clean, the room size was more than expected and the ubication was fantastic.
