"A quiet haven amid the bustle of your day"
From the moment that we arrived our hosts, Shane and Alan, did everything that they could to make our visit perfect. We arrived late, after fighting Toronto traffic for approximately four hours. We had interrupted the hosts' dinner, but Alan immediately escorted is to our extremely private room, showed us around the ranch, and then offered us some excellent wine to help us unwind.
After sharing wine and some stories, we left them to finish their meal and they us to get settled. Upon learning that we wanted only crackers, cheese, and some meat, they offered theirs but, upon our refusal, directed us to the grocery store. They also offered up a lovely summerhouse/sunroom of sorts that is at the back of the ranch (only slightly) to enjoy our wine and food in.
We enjoyed our evening there very much. The space had lots of windows, comfy chairs, and a fireplace. Their beautiful dog came in to join us and graciously kept my feet warm as my husband I shared a meal and enjoyed the night view. When we were done eating Shane and Alan joined us for some wine and conversation.
Much later, my husband and I went back to our spacious, beautiful and comfortable room and enjoyed a perfect sleep in the King bed (not too firm; not too soft). Anything you could think of needing could be found in our space.
The next morning we were served an AMAZING gourmet breakfast created by Shane (homemade waffles with fruit, whipped cream, granola and wonderful coffee). No more space to write!
