Excellent hotel for short stay

Posted 22-May-2015
Pros: Comfort, cleanliness and 24 hour tea/coffee etc.
Location: The very comprehensive shopping and restaurant area is about a 15 minute walk, as is the station and ferry service to Manhattan. There is a fast food
Although the hotel is not in the smartest part of town it offers an excellent standard of comfort. An excellent continental breakfast is included in the room price as is 24 hour coffee/tea/hot chocolate with fresh donuts.

Cozy place with easy access to Manhattan via PATH.

Posted 22-May-2015
Pros: Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Near a mall with a food court, and also the PATH train station into NYC.
Location: Right outside Holland Tunnel on the Jersey side; easy access via PATH to Manhattan.
We stayed three weeknights at this hotel to visit New York City. Great staff and easy access to Manhattan via PATH.

Value for money

Posted 20-May-2015

Location, Location

Posted 20-May-2015
Pros: Well-located, close to transit, with free parking.
Cons: Hotel staff should have directions from all directions handy when hotel is called.
Location: Near PATH trains, easy access to Manhattan.
Well-located, close to transit, with free parking (we drove down). Clean, with friendly service. Nothing fancy, but when in NYC, you don't spend much time in your room! The one thing I may suggest is to make sure that anyone answering the phone be able to provide good directions to the hotel. We didn't have a GPS, so we had to rely on good old fashioned humans! It was significantly easier to find our way out than in.

Convenient safe friendly location

Posted 05-May-2015
Pros: Great Value, Friendly and Convenience
Cons: rooms were a little noisy but we were in New York !
Location: Transit to Manhattan Shopping Centre Food and dinning Washington St shopping and food in Hoboken
We easily drove to the hotel from Canada in one day < With all the transit and Biking trails so close we did not use our vehicle for 4 days . Staff was friendly and only too happy to assist us Onsite secure parking and minutes walk to Shopping, dining and Path trains to Manhattan (6 min ride) I would recommend this to anyone including families We were on Bicycles for 220 Km of riding all of New York from Times Square Brooklyn Bridge and Coney Island and more . No hesitation to recommend to anyone !

Great place for the price

Posted 02-Apr-2015
Pros: Price, staff and proximity to NYC
Cons: Room brought up to date, but not if it increased price as they are not that bad.
Like most of the other reviews say, it's a great place for the price. Is it The Plaza hotel, no. Are the rooms a little dated; perhaps, but they are also extremely clean and the price can't be beat. Especially when you throw in free parking and breakfast (and wifi). Staff was super friendly and helpful with directions and tips. Our family of four stayed for two nights; it's a little tight with 4, but we basically used the room to sleep in. Breakfast was also as advertised in other posts, doughnuts, croissants, muffins and cereal along with orange juice and coffee. Again, nothing fancy, but clean, fresh and plentiful. Walk to Path train to NYC took approx. 10min. Very easy to find. Would I stay there again, yes. Would I recommend, yes. Only thing, I would check the price of the Marriott Courtyard and if not too much more expensive, I might stay there for the simple reason that it is literally next door to the Path train station. If the price is comparable, you need to factor in if they also have the free breakfast and parking.
