- Nice hotel close to our venue - the funeral home

Posted 18-Feb-2015
Pros: - Conveniently located very close to my venue - Evergreen Funeral Parlour.
Cons: - The bathroom door to be replaced - The Wi-Fi was very slow - Offer guests drop off to the parking lot during the winter months
Location: - Unfortunately, we attended a funeral so did not had any time to explore the surrounding area
Pros - - Hotel was clean, staff friendly and helpful. - The room was cleaned. - Sheets and towels were cleaned and smelt fresh. NO stiffness or starchy smell. - Breakfast area cleaned. - Nice gym - Most of all, admired the security. We needed to access a room with our card. Front door closed after hours and opened only by staff. We were notified in advance when delivery is coming up to our room. - Coffee and tea fresh in front lobby - Really liked the fact that my room offered two bedrooms for the two beds - Overall, the hotel smelled cleaned and the carpet felt cleaned too Cons - - Found the room is not sound proof. As a result, we found it difficult to sleep sound. We can hear people walking in the room above us. We can also hear the shower running from the other rooms. Kids in the hallway. - The bathroom is very tiny as well as the elevators. - Bathroom door lock was very loose and needed to be replace. - Absolutely, dislike the fact that parking is NOT available for this hotel. We had to park a block away which offered very safe parking at a price, I must admit. I didn't mind parking there but it is winter and we had extremely cold temps. Would have appreciate it if the hotel could have offered valet service to drop their guests at the parking lot during these harsh cold temps such as Sunday, Feb 15th, the wind chill was -35 degree Celsius. - Need more selection on free delivery food service. - Need more warm and fresh selection for breakfast

Not bad for the price!

The rooms were clean. It's right near the journal square station from which you can take the PATH subway to Hoboken or NYC. I was able to see the top of the WTC from my room, which was a bonus. For the price, the breakfast wasn't bad either. It's not the best, but it's not bad either.

Good luck!

We regret our one-night stay at the Ramada Jersey City. Hotel service was mediocre. The condition of the hotel was sub-par. Ramada is managing as well as they can in terms of hotel maintenance, although a needed upgrade is conspicuous. The room appeared to be average in cleanliness. However, it was room "comfort" that was positively harrowing, with climate control nonexistent. Without hyperbole, room temperature was in the 80-degree range. To offset the sauna-like effect of the room, we turned on the AC which, for all intents and purposes, had apparently been disabled. This was on December 21. One could easily tell that the pillows had been ... used. Without citing the particulars of the neighborhood, suffice it to say that we walked through it as quickly as possible. Parking was reasonable. We wouldn't even consider the continental breakfast. Finally, you'll find MANY positive reviews about this hotel. However, if you have ANY sort of standards whatsoever, you won't stay here. You've been warned. All of these "amenities" ... for $142.00.

I was pleasantly surprised. It was extremely comfortable and convenient. For a last minute booking I got a great price. Will be returning soon.

Love to stay here, but....

I like the Ramada a lot and will continue to stay there. It's a great value and I enjoy the in town feel and older property. Staff is super nice, but...I was in room 415. Avoid this room on any floor. The pipes bang very loudly when the heat comes on. Does not make for a good night's sleep.

Bra

Hotellet var bra till det priset. Bara några minuters gångavstånd till path train som åkte till New York.
