Nice Hotel to stay for the NYC Trip

Posted 21-Apr-2015
We booked this hotel as part of our New York tour and to avoid high rent in NYC Hotels. It's so convenient to access via PATH Train from either WTC or 33rd Street. It's just 2-3 mins walking from Journal Square and there are several restaurants in the vicinity (Subway, Taco Bell, McDonald's). The best part is the Breakfast! There are so many options! And breakfast is available till it have guests. Nice hotel overall at this price!!!

- Nice hotel close to our venue - the funeral home

Posted 18-Feb-2015
Pros: - Conveniently located very close to my venue - Evergreen Funeral Parlour.
Cons: - The bathroom door to be replaced - The Wi-Fi was very slow - Offer guests drop off to the parking lot during the winter months
Location: - Unfortunately, we attended a funeral so did not had any time to explore the surrounding area
Pros - - Hotel was clean, staff friendly and helpful. - The room was cleaned. - Sheets and towels were cleaned and smelt fresh. NO stiffness or starchy smell. - Breakfast area cleaned. - Nice gym - Most of all, admired the security. We needed to access a room with our card. Front door closed after hours and opened only by staff. We were notified in advance when delivery is coming up to our room. - Coffee and tea fresh in front lobby - Really liked the fact that my room offered two bedrooms for the two beds - Overall, the hotel smelled cleaned and the carpet felt cleaned too Cons - - Found the room is not sound proof. As a result, we found it difficult to sleep sound. We can hear people walking in the room above us. We can also hear the shower running from the other rooms. Kids in the hallway. - The bathroom is very tiny as well as the elevators. - Bathroom door lock was very loose and needed to be replace. - Absolutely, dislike the fact that parking is NOT available for this hotel. We had to park a block away which offered very safe parking at a price, I must admit. I didn't mind parking there but it is winter and we had extremely cold temps. Would have appreciate it if the hotel could have offered valet service to drop their guests at the parking lot during these harsh cold temps such as Sunday, Feb 15th, the wind chill was -35 degree Celsius. - Need more selection on free delivery food service. - Need more warm and fresh selection for breakfast

3rd Time Staying at the Ramada

Posted 27-Jan-2015 on Hotels.com
We booked this Ramada because it was close to the PATH train to NYC. This is our 3 stays at this Ramada and there a some confusion this time. There was a bit of confusion with how to pay for the room because we paid in full through Hotels.com but it didn't show up in the Ramada reservation. The receptionist made 3 calls, and that cleared up the confusion. The room we were assigned to was a bit hard to find. The entrance to the room was behind the elevator and next to the stair. It looks like a storage room door and easier missed. We followed the signs and ended up walking halfway down the hallway before turning around to find it was hidden behind the elevator that we just got out off. The breakfast was the same as the last 2 stays so we know what to expect and where the food and drinks were placed. The gym was cleaned. We will consider staying at this Ramada location again for our next trip into NYC.

A short and average stay.

Posted 27-Jan-2015 on Hotels.com
Had a brief stay in this. Hotel which is my preference whenever i visit for business as it is closer to Path station which gives easier access if u want to visit NYC. But was given a room which was located in an awkward location probaly becoz I was alone. It was noisy out rhere with cars zooming past my room all the time which made me hard to sleep and to make matters worst the heater kept throwing out strange sounds and it was loud. Housekeeping service was pathetic and had to literally request them to send someone to clean my room. A special mention for the front desk staff who were nice and courteous. Overall it wAs a pleasant stay barring a few hiccups.
